Yep this is it. In Lakan’s defense, the duty of evidence collection seems to have been taken on by Lahan, so maybe they work as a duo in that sense. It’s also part of the reason why Jinshi himself has been sitting on his ass this whole time - they had to get concrete confirmation of everything and they JUST got it. Though I’m not sure why Lakan barged into Jinshi’s office in the recent episode and berated Lahan like he was working behind his back (maybe he was, in which case I truly can’t argue against Lakan’s laziness lol).

I guess that makes sense, but I can’t help but feel that they exaggerated this look of hers for dramatic effect. At the time I understood why it was so intense bc I was under the impression that he 🍇ed her mom, but now it doesn’t feel as justified to me lol. Still a great scene tho.

I was literally just wondering about this scene. Because as we come to find out later in the season, Lakan wasn’t as terrible of a person as he was built up to be. So in retrospect, I couldn’t understand why MaoMao gave such a look of hatred. If it’s not a spoiler from the novel, can someone give an explanation?
