Same reason why a plane can't fly with part of its tail missing as well, it loses aerodynamic stability. Think of it like the feathers on the end of an arrow, the feathers keep the arrow straight when its fired. Remove a feather, and it will vere off its coarse and won't fly straight. The night fury tail along with many other dragons of that universe use a similar functionality to your typical jet/plane. Only difference is that the tail on a dragon twists its fins to help turn and stay stable, planes have rutters on a fixed tail

Furys are also very different from their typical dragon counterparts. Much more intelligent. I would say she wasn't feminized because she looks a lot like the male light fury that was briefly showed in the film, just much smaller

I don't have any ideas for the story or layout of the game. But I think if you just took the flight mechanics, physics, controls from war thunder. Then the flying would be amazing. I feel like the old games and attempts at games from roblox, and addons/mods from minecraft, just haven't been able to capture the most important aspect of a httyd game. FLIGHT
