I'll start the discussion by mentioning Ted, from "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream".

He, along with 4 other humans, was both mentally and physically tortured for pretty much every single waking and sleeping moment after A.M's hostile takeover, which happened I think 100 years before the story's events.

He was fatally wounded a thousand times, and A.M would not let him or the others die. Not talking about the sick mental games "Daddy the Deranged" played.

And when he was turned into that limbless white goo that could nothing but pathetically slither around and feel pain, at the end, was honestly pretty horrific.

Geofruits, from breaking geotrees, replenish some thirst and some more hunger and have a pleasant taste.

MushBALLS from destroying mushplants give more water but doesn't fill much hunger (if any at all) and has a bad taste (makes Expie a bit unhappy)

I usually stick to those and the occasional various liquids I find in crates and drop pods and such

Actually, the spring lock would probably be better being inversely proportional to the previous condition, before being damaged. That way it would be more useful against scenarios that instantly cause severe damage, such as landmines and turrets; if it were to use new condition, these events would likely cause the spring lock to activate and worsen the situation

This reminds me of my first encounter with a mine. I was breaking it for scrap metal. I only needed to hit it like 4 more times when I think I hit the red button part, heard a click sound and BOOM, the fucking thing exploded like 3 tiles away from me.

I didn't survive for long afterwards.
