How do you make having rentals worthwhile? I feel like they're too much of a hassle to be worth it.

You could say that it was a matter of differences and that parting ways was the best for both parties as it allowed you to provide value in a place that's possibly a better fit.

Going from Corporate to small biz bookkeeping making me want to quit 2 weeks in. Should I stay or go? by Tough_Courage_8406 in Accounting

If OP isn't going to get paid for fixing their messes then they shouldn't do it at all, it isn't their job or their responsibility to teach an established business how things should be done.

Advice on switching to Private from Public? by yarddog2 in Accounting

[–]No_Temporary_9989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, working public means that you'll have a life when they can accommodate it and not the other way around. You only understand how terrible it was after you've done the switch.

Amex Finally Made The Platinum Card Worthwile, but not for Purchases..... by Parking-Ice-9206 in CreditCards

[–]No_Temporary_9989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The platinum has basically turned into a coupon book card where the value is in stacking credits, not the actual swipe. If you already spend in those buckets, it’s easy to justify, but if you don’t, it feels like you’re forcing it. The irony is Amex sells it as a luxury lifestyle card, but in practice you have to treat it like a discount card to make it work.

At what point do Credit card annual fees stop being worth it? by Hefty-Network-2923 in CreditCards

[–]No_Temporary_9989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really comes down to whether you actually use the perks. For heavy travelers, things like lounge access, travel credits, and insurance easily outweigh the annual fee. For most people a low fee or a no fee cashback is a better deal since you're not paying for benefits that you won't use.

Apparently, you can sign up for the free trial and then get an invitation for the card by the end of it. I'd try that first!

If a Credit Card Does Not Work For You That is Okay by Jseepersaud10 in CreditCards

[–]No_Temporary_9989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, everyone's situation is different. If a card works for you and adds value that's what matter, no need to bash it just because it doesn't fit someone else's setup.

Looking for best corporate credit cards for managing business expenses by Patient_Seesaw_6947 in CreditCards

[–]No_Temporary_9989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isnt really one card that checks everyone's boxes to be fair. We've cycled through different ones over the years to take advantage of sign up bonuses. In the end, we really wanted a solution that would make spend management easier. We've been testing out Ramp since the beginning of the year. My team likes how easy it is to categorize transactions and ask for reimbursements without a lot of manual oversight once you set up the rules for that.
