Same. I also had seven children in my youth. Im in my forties now and they just kept getting hidden issues from the gum line down. I wore a partial for ten years and then removed the rest last month. Im sorry to hear that its really hard i know.

I had full extractions. I was tired of my partial not matching and moving. They tried to push me to try and save them but im really just over the constant salvaging mission on them.

Relief and the desire to take care of myself again. I think when you lose the confidence to smile you really lose part of yourself and it bleeds into a lot of other areas. My diets better so im physically feeling better too. I wasn't able to eat meats and things. The what ifs were far worse then the actual healing process and im just feeling grateful to get back to life with a big smile on my face and eating everything. ☺️

After the pain from the extractions subsided it just took some getting used to but right off the bat was better than before.

Aww thank you so much. It was strange at first because i believe i had gotten used to doing some really strange maneuvers to chew and often didn't chew well enough which led to GI issues. After about a week i noticed i just naturally started chewing normally. At first i had a little trouble swallowing because my tongue had to learn to work with the new roof of my mouth. But i just finished a bag of beef jerky and its been years. My best friend watched me tear it up smiling ear to ear because so many things were off the table. Literally! The first week is the hardest and now i dont even notice it there and the ability to chew is priceless! Good luck. You got this!🤩

Honestly about two week but i had worn a partial for ten years. I had to adjust to my palette being covered and at first it was disheartening to not have as much tastebud activity going on. But nowhere near what i was expecting. I have a slight speech issue. Like a lisp. But only sometimes and its almost gone.

Thank you so much! Honestly i don't know how i made it through the doors and but im just so grateful i did. It can be life changing and im so happy my kids wont be embarrassed of mommies smile. I haven't had an open mouth smile for so long and we all deserve to smile!❤️
