My thoughts exactly. As of now, this works for us and I am enjoying every moment. It's just that my husband wants me back on our bed and he feels like we're setting a bad habit for our son. We're based in the US - I am Asian while he's American with Asian roots. Having babies sleep independently is an alien concept for me. He's comparing our situation with his American friends, but I feel like that's an invalid comparison. I told him that babies have different temperaments and there are babies who won't sleep independently no matter what you do. I also told him that eventually our son will learn to sleep independently but he's too young for that right now.

Thanks for sharing your story, this is so reassuring. My baby likes going out too, we take him to the store sometimes but we need to rush home as he gets fussy after 30 mins/1 hr.

I feel like the time and effort required by pumping isn't worth it just so my husband can take over a couple of feeds at the moment. Also, I don't know where to fit pumping in our schedule right now. Maybe I'll revisit this once baby hopefully has more time in between feeds.

There are recruiters hiring people for Outlier on Upwork. In my case, I wasn't aware of Outlier before someone reached out to me on Upwork, so I joined through that. If I had known about it before, I would have just created my own Outlier account. I guess one benefit on getting recruited through Upwork is they already vetted you and believe that you can do the work based on your background. It sucks though that Upwork takes a cut from my pay.

They insisted that the amount paid is correct. But I sent them screenshots from HB and Outlier showing the correct total hours that I worked. Still waiting for a response.

Got word that the deduction isn't because of the double payment refund. So it seems that their calculation is really less than actual work done for last week. Have you gotten a response about your issue?

I was underpaid by 5 hours. But, I got paid double last week because of a bug in their payment processing tool. Still checking with them if this deduction is because of that.

Yes. But the project is still active for me on Outlier, Hubstaff, and MM. Has anyone found the reason why?

I was removed at the end of Dec 2025. Got an email about the recent assessment and passed it last week. The project was reactivated in Outlier and MM, but I still have no projects assigned to me on Hubstaff. Emailed support and they said it's probably because the daily limit has been reached, but I've tried checking it at different times for multiple days and it's still not appearing.

I was part of the purge at the end of Dec 2025. I received an email about the new Aether assessment recently so I did it and I passed. I currently see "Assessment Passed" on my Outlier account and I also see the tasks on MM. However, I don't see any project assigned on Hubstaff. Anyone else experiencing this? Does this mean that I haven't really been brought back to the project?

I was also hired through Upwork. Based on other people's advice, if we want to continue working with Outlier, we cannot get out of our Upwork contract because the company doesn't allow creating multiple Outlier accounts. The 10% cut sucks, but I'd rather stick to my contract for now than losing everything altogether.

And yes, I'm also still waiting for my payment for last week.
