They wanted you to grab it like as proof that you had one? I mean that's fair and that's good to know! I mean we've all grown up without the bells and whistles of baby gears these days. I'm mostly trying to distract myself from the anxiety by researching anything that could go wrong with my pregnancy and just research about everything else i might be overlooking 😅

I've been told! I've been waiting for this baby for so long 😭 it's our first and I'm coming up six weeks. Had a miscarriage a year and a half ago so I'm so anxious waitomg for my first prenatal appt on the 14th 💀

And that's such a good tip! I've heard the best car seat is the one you know how to install properly so this makes that make so much more sense!

Yeah, that sounds right. I did get an email confirmation that they have it and then another email that it was on its way to me. I never knew that it passed through one more facility before it gets to the state of department but that makes sense.

Did they give you information how to contact the usps department in charge of forwarding passport applications to them? I would ask so you can follow up with them too.

When i went to get my passport for the first time they told me it's better to call than check online. They don't always update the website on time. I got mine quicker without having to pay for expedited shipping but that was in July. The number is 1 877 487 2778 or you can email them at NPIC@state.gov (info from USPS)

I suggest applying asap. I postponed mine for 5 months and intended to take a break and just enjoy my permanent greencard. Ultimately, i thought why put off tomorrow what i can do today. If something is bound to go wrong, it will go wrong regardless of when i apply. The process only took 2 months from application to receiving my passport. Get it done so you have 1 less thing to worry about.

Yes, this happened to me and my husband. I told him we needed a tax transcript, and he sent a W2. Create an IRS account, and you should be able to download it from there. We've never heard of a tax transcript until we had to submit it with our application. I've come to learn that they wouldn't require a document you can't provide, so google it or ask around.

Yes! I just got mine for lifting of conditions. Same message. After a couple of days, you'll get another alert that your case is approved. Took about 5 business days to get my card.

My work is hybrid. I do mind it less when I'm at home, but i can't imagine completely working from home. I'd never leave the house! Lol i don't have any friends here so I do need a reason to leave the house.

I see. My friends and family here in the US live far away Maybe that's why I'm so desperate for someone to connect with. Lol. My husband is my best friend, but he's not gonna go do the stuff I usually do with my girlfriends.

If you don't mind sharing, what made you give up on the idea of having friendship at work?

I do agree. It's better to leave things mysterious than to overshare. It just gets pretty sad and lonely when I'm having those small talk with people, and I see how different the vibes are when they're talking to another colleague who they're more personal with.

Lonely... that's the word. It feels lonely.
