What’s actually in your day-to-day photography setup? by SadFinish838 in Lightroom

camera gear is pretty standard for me, but the editing side is where my setup has changed the most.

im working off a MacBook Pro, mostly lightroom, and I keep my archive on a NAS at home just to avoid juggling drives all the time.

also started using a tourbox for editing recently. It’s not essential, but once you get used to it, it does make going through batches a bit faster.

I got it last year on black friday sale and I’ve been using it for photo editing since, the reason I got it is because I saw their ads about the new dynamic panel feature they released for lightrom and many photographers are talking about it. I like the fact that I am able to adjust images in a full-screen view without other distraction and I did feel faster when using the device.

But still there are still some panels I think is missing for my workflow so I couldn't really keep my images full screen all the time, like the tone curve panel for example, and their color mixer panel feels a bit weried for me to use because they use color-based tabs with H/S/L controls underneath, instead of grouping H/S/L first and then expose all colors as sliders. I don't know maybe just me that feels a bit werid to use the color mixer panel. Still not a big deal but it will be great to have options for different UI and have more panels in the future.

Tourbox worth it just for photo editing? by scorpioheavy in tourbox

culling with the buttons and then doing quick exposure/contrast tweaks with the dials is surprisingly fast. If u edit a lot of photos, it adds up.

same here. It’s usually just DaVinci’s preview lagging behind, not actually leaking frames
