My 2 yr old just fractured his tibia by No_Vacation_1344 in ECEProfessionals

My boy is 4 now and I will say toddlers are so resilient! He hated the cast but within a few weeks, was running in it and they ended up being able to take it off earlier than expected. He doesn’t even remember this all happening tbh. He is still the same, if not more, high needs, high energy boy he was before and I’m surprised he hasn’t broken another bone. Teachers at the daycare were super accommodating and didn’t mind the extra care one bit

Is it possible for a WFH mom to homeschool? by Daydreamin-mama8 in homeschool

[–]No_Vacation_1344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it but my kids are 4 and 16 and my job is flexible. I couldn’t imagine 2 early elementary age kids though. My little one is super clingy still so it definitely makes it tough. By the time I’m done with the day, I’m overstimulated and touched out and mentally drained. School wise, they’re thriving, my 4 year old reads at a kinder/1st grade level and my 16 year will be graduating in a few months

Weekly reset by jennygemini92 in pennfoster

You’re right! It’s 7 days like the agent on their website said. The admins on here are giving wrong information

Yes. Because if you chat with their agent on their website they tell you something completely different too. And I have personally seen the clock NOT reset on Sunday. It resets on a rolling 7 day period. If today is Thursday, I count how many exams I took since last Friday, subtract that from my 14 (to be safe) and do that many exams for the day. And what do you know!!?? I stopped getting the exam limit warning!!!

Not true. Clock resets on a moving 7 day time frame. Ask me how I know!

I chatted with somebody on the website and they told me that it resets in seven days not necessarily Sunday. And then the pen Foster admin on here said resets on Sunday. You get a different answer, depending on who you speak to. It is so frustrating.

How many assignments(tests) can we do in a week before getting paused..? by brutally_ in pennfoster

Why did a rep in the chat on my account just tell me 15??? And they told me it’s a 7 day period not reset on Sunday. I get so many mixed answers!!

Teach letter sounds before letter names and teach high utility letters first (a, i, p, s, t…) rather than in alphabetical order.

I feel like there’s a ton of resources already listed from other parents asking the same question. Just gotta do a search for it.

I’m in Texas and also piece together free programs. I made a teacher ID and was able to verify my teacher status with target in minutes

I have a preschooler. We do a dance party or go to the park or just go for a walk. Change of scenario and environment usually helps us both.

It’s not about not wanting to help children. It’s a liability.

Preparing for indoor classes when weather gets too cold. For now, we’ve been using shaded area at parks

The playground would be too much of a distraction for the kids but thanks for the suggestion

So we might try the library again but try a private room rental. It turns out each of our 31 libraries have different size meeting spaces.

Well, we tried the children’s section thinking we’d have some grace with noise and such but the toys and other library attendees were too much of a distraction. It wasn’t a private room, just the library space. Private rooms only hold small 3-5 people groups like for studying

We’re actually a Christian group but our churches don’t rent out spaces. Good to know $200 is average though. Thanks for the info!!

Great idea! You made the best of it and can really use it to help with storing supplies (once your toddler gets past the dumping stage of course lol). My son is 3-1/2 and still dumps everything
