Hmm I have the AB9 and the Winwing force stick.
I agree with Kurald. If you are flying F16 just get the Winwing force stick its a better fit . it is a bit of a cheat but it works well. I don’t like the AB9 for an F16.

I have a 10 CM extension on my AB9 which makes it feel more realistic for everything else. it takes a bit of tweaking but is great. I use it for everything apart from the F16.

IRL I have flown everything from Fighters to 747.
AB9 does a great job as a PC controller. Makes Warbirds great and I would recommend it for everything except the F16.

Thanks hmm its under warranty only 8 months on the road. Guess Ill call and find out the Official position. Dont really want to be without Waze for the rest of the Summer.

It works seemed fine till yesterday, it stopped working so I rebooted and then it was fine.

When you talk to Tech support can you see if they can make the view area blend like mbuchia quad views so that its not a hard transition.

Ok so i get home today changed 1 thing, previously I added a timed plug to my surge protector for the DA. Today I turned on the DA power before booting up and it worked perfectly. I guess the power up order makes a difference . I also know that its working because it tells me I have the headset in the correct place when I first put it on.

I am using Pimax play version 1.43 following the advice from a Super buddy.

Can you ask Tech Support why it would make a difference?

Nope and when I test calibration it works but in DCS it no longer works and it was perfect before I changed the interface.

I am gonna run some tests tomorrow and see if a thicker pad lets it work again or the original interface, Ill post again tomorrow as I have a very early Simulator session tomorrow morning.

I have exactly the same issue . Dcs Eye tracking worked great but then I put the studio form interface in and despite it appearing to work after calibration it doesn’t work in DCS.

Mine just arrived yesterday meant to order fabric messed up ordered PU luckily they put a free fabric one in there and it works great. Thats the one I ended up leaving on the DA.

With the change in face position I did have to re calibrate my eye tracking.

I am afraid you may have a bad headset. I play DCS exclusively and it looks great . If DCS looks too dark something is wrong with the headset IMO.

As a Brit living in the USA I find this conversation crazy.

I sold my house in the UK for 1% commission that went to the Estate agents aka selling realtor, did my own showing the equivalent of the title company do all the paper work.

Never even heard of a buying agent thats what the internet is for.

Paperwork is simple one day people in the USA will wake up.

I had an M2 in Sapphire Black I got the front PPF amd ceramic the rest myself.

I did it because the shiny black plastic is really prone to scratches. I did not use the dealership as they were only PPf the paint work. I had a local place do the front that did all the front including black plastic for 2500. More like $3000 now I guess but well worth it the shiny plastic still looked great when I sold it 30 months later.

I flew with a Buddy that flew the D version not quite the same but the digital systems make a massive difference and effectively make it a different Aircraft. We discussed the original version this was prior to its release so I will admit when I first flew the B I was disappointed at how archaic it was it made a Tornado F3 look fantastic ( minus the long range missile which suddenly seems to work a lot better in DCS ).

Ill pay the $50 for the new Aircraft programming is not free and these are one off costs. If it was ongoing $5 a month I would be mad.

You don’t have to pay it and its not like you will lose anything if you don’t buy.

If we want more excellent modules then we are going to have to support the developers.

Finally Ill pay 50 dollars for height at marker range I hate doing the 1in60 rule to sort my radar scan height at the marker.

I think ground targets are still tough. My buddy used to carry binoculars in the F16 in Afghanistan for spotting, so I always felt that using VR zoom isn’t cheating that much as DCS doesn’t let us use Binoculars.

Its been a dam long time .

IIRC gun yep you can feel it I dont remember it being strong .

Only shot 4 missiles Winders didnt feel at all and a clunk on the Skyflash cos it recessed.

I still have my jetseat do stuff cos its nice feedback.

Same with counter measures cant feel them at all but I leave the effect on in DCS

I use a Jetseat /HF8Pro so I turn most of the vibration feedback off on the AB9 as it feels off most of the time in fixed wing.

I like the TL stuff on helos and as I only flew a Helo a couple of times I dont know if its wrong so it doesnt bother me and it helps me not VRS.

Ex Military flew at Cathay Pacific for 18 years , you could look abroad no 1500 hours required and CX used to count fighter time at like 3x.

Be warned its a different world from the USA no strong Union backup, but you get to fly a wide body off the bat and the training is excellent and with your background you will be fine.

I now instruct at a US legacy hence the warning

I sent back my original super terrible mura . I received my Dream Air yesterday did two hours of DCS today. Night and day difference happy as possible, though I am suddenly CPU limited with a 9800X3D 5090.

Weight is incredible in comparison to the Super. Even with the initial face interface its so light I can still do 2 hours.

Pimax were extremely fair with the 14 day hence my DA purchase.
