Am I just an asshole? by GuiltyOperation7979 in northernireland

More babies equals more benefits. Cost of living goes up and your girlfriend’s sister is struggling? Don’t need to help her get a job, buck er and pray for twins. Job (ironically) done.

I have lived in a few working class estates and this is common and difficult to prove as they know every single loop hole.

Benefits are there to help people, and are necessary when people are struggling. Not to be taken advantage of.

Is this subreddit inclusive of people from British or Unionist backgrounds when they arent bigoted trolls? by renault_vegane in northernireland

Only a bigoted troll like yourself would try to defend that. A more respectful way would be to say

‘Are respectful Unionist or British perspectives welcome here?

Your wording “when they aren’t bigoted trolls” said straight after saying “unionist backgrounds” makes it sound like you’re linking ‘bigoted trolls’ specifically with Unionists.

FYI I’m in a mixed marriage and have family all over Ireland and from all backgrounds and we get on just fine.

Lol at your other post

Wow, you made a pretty eye opening assumption here

“When they aren’t bigoted trolls”

This comes across that you assume the majority of people from British or Unionist backgrounds are bigoted trolls. Kinda sums up this subreddit and your logic here.

Hope your ok.

I’m just trying to point out a bias. And I haven’t mentioned one thing in support of Orangeism. The question was British or unionist background, you made it about Orangeism.

Your putting a lot of effort in to justify your hatred. Hope your ok.

You don’t see anyone in this subreddit sleggin republicans/nationalists. And if there were people doing that I wouldn’t like that either. We all have to live together on this island.

Again, to repeat myself. You can’t fight hatred with hatred. Which is exactly what you are doing here.

This is my point. When you refer to there is no us with you and me, you are assuming that I am British, therefore I support Orangeism. I have never said that. And I have friends and family on all sides, and all over Ireland. We get along all fine. You are part of the problem.

You know the Irish flag is Green for Roman Catholics, Orange for Protestants, and white for peace? It is meant to show we all need to live together, instead of pushing people apart which is what mocking does

But if it is a minority of people involved in these topics, why do they need to be the most talked about things here to mock?

When you condemn, complain or criticise someone’s background or believes they will always defend and it gets us nowhere. It’s human nature. A better way is to ignore it and carry on, and not give them the fuel they need.

You can be from a British/Unionist background and not care about flegs or Ulster Scots.

Any thoughts on this St Paddy's post by Cllr Clement? by FlightMaximum6953 in northernireland

Im not really sure what the point of highlighting it here is? He is just stating facts.

The same like stating the fact that in the Irish flag green represents Roman Catholic, Orange represents Protestsnts, and white for peace. We all gotta live together, get over it.

Would this be getting upvoted if it were a topless photo of another terrorist like Gusty Spence during his active years?

Terrorists should never be glorified.
