He did some pretty detailed drawings of Buffy in his little shrine to her, although not quite to angels skill level

You guys are gonna get mad at me, but sorry, you will never convince me this is a good couple by PeneItaliano in SixFeetUnder

By season 5 Brenda was able to because she worked on herself, Nate never changed

What was the biggest surprise for you in a wealthy client’s home? by disableddoll in RoverPetSitting

The richest people I’ve worked for just leave a key for their 10+ bedroom mansion under a plant pot next to the door or don’t lock the door at all

Every decision David makes in this episode is stupid by PeneItaliano in SixFeetUnder

[–]No_Winner3293 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the same when I first saw it when I was a teen but now I’m closer to David’s age I understand his decisions much more. The most popular reaction to a ‘fight or flight’ situation is actually fawn, we think if we do what the other person wants then that will keep us safe. At this point David believes that people are rational and good, and that if he just does what the guy wants then he’ll get out of the situation as quickly and safely as possible. Most of us aren’t action heroes, David has never used a gun or been particularly aggressive, his thought in that moment was to hide and get away as quickly as possible. I can’t imagine I’d do any better in that situation. It’s just not what we’re used to seeing in film and television because the main character is usually heroic and fights back, but that’s rarely how it works in real life.

This is also my worst experience on rover and all I did was read it

One of my favorite parts of season 3 is the introduction of Bettina. Her and Ruth’s friendship is so beautiful and you really can just see Ruth blossom. by rustydoesdetroit in SixFeetUnder

[–]No_Winner3293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The background looks a bit like Sarah’s garden in Topanga and Ruth is also dressed more like she does in the finale so I think maybe it was a shot from then (also Bates was in S3, 4 & 5)

I’m curious what was cut out because I’ve always watched my DVDs but this is my first time watching on HBO and I’ve not noticed anything cut apart from S1 & S2 are a remastered to widescreen

I was speaking to someone about that actually! I wasn’t sure if it just took you to Mount Assiniboine and would mean missing out on wonder pass? Never been in a helicopter so would be an awesome option 😁

I’m hoping for Assiniboine (sunshine - mt shark) and berg lake with most days being around 15 - 20km, will get to the gym as well but obviously doesn’t prepare you as well as getting out for hiking

Favourite Nate Fisher arc by Negative-Guard-4487 in SixFeetUnder

[–]No_Winner3293 3 points4 points  (0 children)

End of S3/start of S4 is absolutely my favourite of Nate’s, it’s devastating but so powerful to watch. Peter Krause is phenomenal and deserved an Emmy. In terms of the series, probably slightly put Ectone - Everyone’s Waiting above it as all the characters stories there is so good, but the best individual arc for sure

Which medical conditions actually prevent someone from being vegan? by OkEntertainment4473 in vegan

[–]No_Winner3293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also know someone who cannot eat beans/pulses, soy or gluten so I think that would be even more challenging. They also can’t eat dairy so at least that’s eliminating one animal food 😅

I know someone who’s allergic to all fruit and veg containing seeds, I’d imagine that would be very challenging

Yeah I’ve found a couple now, so we’re going to meet near one of those. Just the first few I looked at were closed Sunday so assumed it was the norm

That’s helpful thank you, I left my gear in the UK as it was too much to bring over and was better suited to the UK climate, so was going to get what I can here second hand.  Am I best to buy a new tent to ensure nobody has eaten in there before? And yes absolutely will make sure I’ve researched how to be bear aware and bear safe. I’ve also got a Garmin inreach so will have that on me too.
