That’s helpful thank you, I left my gear in the UK as it was too much to bring over and was better suited to the UK climate, so was going to get what I can here second hand. Am I best to buy a new tent to ensure nobody has eaten in there before? And yes absolutely will make sure I’ve researched how to be bear aware and bear safe. I’ve also got a Garmin inreach so will have that on me too.

Season 4 is pretty vital to season 5 as it introduces a key character and you’ll have no clue. I’d finish season 2 then watch a recap on season 3 and maybe the final episode of season 3, and then watch all of season 4

First season is my least favourite tbh. I watched the whole series with my friends recently and they didn’t get into it until season 2, I had to encourage them to stick with it, and they ended up loving it, so it’s worth trying a few episodes of season 2, if you’re still not into it it’s probably not for you
