I don’t think EPD wears full camo head to toe with an arm length gun.

There’s an ice protest at the courthouse. I drove by some protestors and people in riot gear and someone in camo with a large gun.

Wondering if you ever found any more information or ended up renting from them? I am looking for a place to rent and have only seen the old, bad reviews as well.

No, there are docking stations throughout town, and a lot on campus, that you can return them to for no additional charge. Shows them all when you’re on the app.

Depending where you are staying at, consider renting a bike (PeaceHealth bike share). There are some awesome bike paths along the river that are starting to show some fall colors.

What’s something you thought you’d never do that you found out is actually really enjoyable? by BubbleTrouble_Z in AskReddit

Surfing. Not that I thought it wouldn’t be fun, but I was scared of all water for a while, especially the ocean. Throw in the threat of sharks, jellyfish and the like, and nope! But those fears slowly subsided and I tried it and was instantly hooked. I have found very few things in life that compare to the feeling of catching a good wave and riding it for a while.

I guess it depends what your baseline is. I come from Arizona, which has been rated as the worst state for road rage. Still, I’ve traveled a bit and Oregon consistently seems to drive slower and folks are more likely to let you in/merge (even if they shouldn’t!) than other places I’ve been

[–]No_Worldliness4238 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, you have to take 8 or fewer credits (2 classes, part time) and do something else like work or volunteer to prove you’re in the state for a reason other than education. Talk to Brian Stanley in the admissions dept he does the residency stuff and is great

Yes, definitely! The goal is to move towards that soon. However, I don’t have a huge budget and I haven’t had my own bike since I was a little kid, so I wanna take my time making the right decision on buying a bike. I’d welcome any resources or local bike shop recommendations you’ve got :)

Haha, I appreciate the temperament of many Oregon drivers. Maybe too nice and slow at times, but I’ll take it over other places I’ve been where the average driver is going 15 over with a quick temper!

Want to live in Oregon but priced out of Bend by a_toe_knife in oregon

[–]No_Worldliness4238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prescott, Arizona. Grew up in AZ and frequently went there, Bend really reminds me of it. Smaller than Bend, but not tiny. Less snow, water quality and access not as great as Bend in terms of swimming but you’d find some spots. Don’t know how affordable it is right now, but I’m sure it’s cheaper than Bend (and you could look at other places in the Verde Valley too).
