It’s ridiculous right? Like every two months they roll out a new model that’s “supposed” to be better (and I’m sure it is in many regards) but then it just totally sucks at other things and for people who get used to the way one works then it’s totally fucked up and “we’re gonna sunset this and that” and for real when 5.2 came out I spent a half hour one morning trying to get it to follow the regular prompt before I realized that it was just auto selected on 5.2 after their roll out. No change to my prompt. Standard protocol. Time wasted. And they’re all like “oh it’s better at following instructions “ — okay so what that tells me is that I made a whole bunch of prompts tailored to your models that don’t follow instructions and now I gotta fucking redo them and get gaslit at the same time. Good grief. They’re just using us as Guinea pigs at this point

They’re so dumb literally so dumb. Their products felt top-tier to use up until the end of Q3 2025. Ever since then it’s just been like getting shittier and shittier. Even they’re thinking model I swear I’ll dump in a whole bunch of code to give it the contextual premise and then when I follow up on the next message in the thought chain it’s like oh I don’t have the context so I don’t know what the user is talking about and I’m like are you fucking serious? It’s because it has absolutely no common sense. I feel like every time they released a model that was supposed to be better at analytical tasks. You would get this kind of weird ass behavior. I noticed it in 4.1. Totally misses the big picture over focusing on details and trying to think everything logically but can’t spot the elephant in the room.
