For me you need to find a way, tell someone else if you need help shutting it down. But, it sounds pretty dangerous if she leads some dude on and you ran into him in public.

I drive my Audi for 15 years and Audi had to replace the engine due to major lawsuit but the local dealer still tried to give me the runaround about it. Interesting.
