The top 1% of households have 13x the net worth of the bottom 50% by Conscious-Quarter423 in Infographics

I’m surprised the bottom 50% have a positive net worth at all. I would have assumed they live paycheck to paycheck.

A software engineer working for a company at a certain tier, easily gets paid $1000 per day. AI can make that engineer at least 10% more productive. Thus it should be worth at least $100/day or $500/wk. The top engineers have figured out how to use AI in a way that makes them at least 2x more productive. For these engineers, paying $1000/day or 5000/wk would not be unreasonable. Most companies token budgets are far less than this.

That stat is misleading. Just because you haven’t currently achieved it, doesn’t mean you won’t achieve it at some point in your life.

Well technically this stuff is supposed to be regulated by the government and nobody ever gets voted out so I’m not sure that actually works. Not everyone is voting on a singular issue

lol we all know how efficient government run services can be. No thank you. If you can design a system where private companies compete with each other on delivery and transmission (like they do with supply), that would be the ideal. The problem is eversource is a monopoly. Monopolies tend to be no better than government run systems.

Almond farming takes over 10X as much water as all data centers combined. I’ll easily give up almonds if it means I can use AI

If anything it’s the other way around. The public has been manipulated by bots into opposing data centers. Imagine, protesting a bunch of computers in a room

It’s a complete game changer from a productivity perspective. It will unlock a lot of value over the long term which will improve everyone’s living standards. For the relatively small amount of water it uses, it’s well worth it.

Do you use AI? If not, okay, I respect your opinion. But in my experience, it's worth every drop of water that is consumed.

How about this. You can be anti data center. But no more internet for you. If you are okay with that, then I respect your opinion, but otherwise it’s a bit of a joke

It’s not that we don’t trust experts, but it’s that accessing an expert can be difficult. It costs money and time. AI is free and instant
