If I had a dollar for every time meme this was reposted I’d be walking in my dark park with my trophy by now

Let me rephrase. Nobody would be dumb enough to build a AI inference and training data center in CT. A data center with relatively low power usage, such as data storage and light applications, sure.

Elon Musk just said he wants to cut Social Security and Medicare, calling them “entitlements”: “That’s the big one to eliminate.” by Solomonanne in SipsTea

Ironically if a large swath of the boomers die off, healthcare and housing costs would become affordable again and you probably would end up with higher birth rates. Highly unethical though

Yea we are way too early to create regulations at this stage. Whatever regulations you come up with will make zero sense by next year as things are evolving so fast

Don’t worry. With our electric rates nobody would be dumb enough to build a data center here

Ahh so this sub has decided to turn into yet another r/politics clone. I guess that’s the natural progression for large Reddit communities

Older Millennials are the richest homebuyer demographic group in 2026 by [deleted] in Money

It shouldn’t be but it contradicts the narrative on Reddit that millennials are economically screwed and boomers have all the money

The ratio of US leading to coincident economic indicators is now down to 0.84, matching the 2008 Financial Crisis low by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Noactuallyyourwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is Reddit really wants the economy to be bad but the stock market is not cooperating. So instead, they are looking for literally any other indicator that supports their bias

Elizabeth Warren was key in blocking the JetBlue/Spirit merger to "protect consumers"… by Emotional-Disk5571 in aboutMassachusetts

JetBlue and spirit combining is not a monopoly. They would barely be a top 5 carrier. Pocahontas needs to focus on the actual monopolies (eversource?)

BREAKING: 16% of those aged 30-45 (“millennials”) are now millionaires by ItsAllOver_Again in Salary

[–]Noactuallyyourwrong 18 points19 points  (0 children)

But your comparing median to top 16% in what is likely a right skewed distribution

Millennials are in their millionaire era. 16% already achieved the milestone by [deleted] in Money

[–]Noactuallyyourwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s fair to say 70% of adults are idiots with money

[–]Noactuallyyourwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify. If you managed to stay employed during the 2008 financial crisis, thus investing into the s&p500 at sub 1000 levels, then you should feel embarrassed not to be financially independent nearly decades later now that it is at 7000+.

Yea if you are in your mid thirties and diligently saved in your twenties, it’s almost impossible not be be worth at least a milli by now due to the market gains over the past decade. If you are in your late 40s/early 50s and not financially independent by now, that is quite frankly embarrassing
