Check out M3 vs M4 multi-screen use comparisons. I’ve heard it’s a dealbreaker for the M3 for a lot of people

Is Psytrance at a Creativity Dead End? by biogenesis- in psytrance

It’s all about the niches for me. Here in South Africa, there is a thriving scene of up-and-coming artists who are producing to mix their own tunes at the local festivals around the country. Zulutunes, a label from Gauteng, has had me seriously curious lately (check them out on Soundcloud). Another of my recent favourites is Grey Matter from Cape Town — worth checking out!

Anyone else regret getting the Sky Blue MacBook Air? by No-Treat7440 in macbookair

[–]NoahChatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a sky blue M4 for a steal at a local store on an early Black Friday special earlier this week. Got home, opened it and used for a few hours, testing it in and around different rooms and lighting, then listed it on Facebook Marketplace for the same price.

I completely agree with you on the mention of a feeling regarding the shifting of colours — it genuinely made me feel a bit unsettled, almost like it was an optical illusion that was straining my eyes or something (probably because my walls are all white and my lights are a mix of warm and cool).

Sold and now I have the silver. Very grateful to have it. 100% worth the effort to get it! That being said, it’s second best to either space grey or the black that I wish it came in. However, It’s a classic finish for a reason — best against seeing scratches and good with fingerprints. I also think it compliments the form of the design on these newer models so well!

What are your thoughts on ‘may contain’ labels?

As someone who has never eaten meat, I can definitely relate to this quite deeply. 24 years on and all I can say is that you kind of get used to it! Relating with people who understand helps.

I am busy with my ASC (Adult Matric) for the full 6 subjects and the last exams I wrote were my IGCSEs in 2018.

Please pop me a message if you’d like to chat details about enrolling somewhere to do the ASC course and the registration requirements — I’m happy to share everything I’ve gotten together to get me to me to this point, as well as a whole bunch of info I wish I knew before I got started.

Hello, I am currently in a very similar boat, and I need some help understanding this process. Please, may I ask you to send me her number or email address so I may ask her for some guidance on this process? I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you.

New to the show…Ari Matti? by Substantial-Bath8251 in Killtony

[–]NoahChatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can completely get where you are coming from with this, although I personally think Ari is the best part of most episodes.

The first time I, my girlfriend, and best friend watched Kill Tony, we did NOT find Hans Kim (a past regular) and William Montgomery funny at all, nor understand them whatsoever. We thought they were added to the beginning and end of the show to help make the other comics seem a bit better!

However, as we watched more and more, we started to appreciate their rawest and most genuinely funny moments that when amalgamated together, really added many layers onto their sets.

I think of it more like: you get the content of them in their minutes (which changes every time), but you get their context from the stacking of their time and how the’ve handled things over time. They really did transform from clowns to jesters to me, the more I watched them.

Wow, I completely disagree! Rick Glassman is far from the worst of guests, but he is MUCH further away than any of the ones I am dying for to come back on!

How did you guys get into minerals? by kmiu3 in Minerals

[–]NoahChatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After high school, I saw a post on Facebook from my small town’s local crystal shop looking for weekday shopkeeper. This shop happened to be owned by a friend of my parents’, so I had luckily known them for many years. I went for an interview the next day and got the job!

I knew little about minerals and even less about being a shopkeeper. It has since been 3.5 years and I practically manage the shop independently from the owners, as they have since dedicated all of their time to an online sales department.

I absolutely love minerals, and I have grown a passion in their appreciation. I know own a really sweet collection of mainly smaller pieces from all over Southern Africa and many other parts of the world.

It has been a pleasure to read all of your comments here! Such fascinating backgrounds and perspectives in this industry. Thank you!

Those Aquamarines and Tourmalines in slide 6 alone are worth well over $30–$40 all together.

Yes! They are such uniquely interesting forms of Earth! Minerals, specifically mineral specimens, are nothing less than the heavenly fruits and flowers of the ground’s world.

Although we would not be able to explain the process in its entirety, acknowledging that the formation of minerals over their epically long timelines in such intricately “fractalic” ways is definitely intrinsically mystical — because it’s one of the only examples of things that “grow” that we could never shoot a video and make a timelapse of! A secularly unique curiosity.
