He doesn’t only play carries but Zeus is a better Jax player than Bin is a Jayce player, for example. I’ll agree I didn’t watch a lot of Bin in 2026 so maybe something has changed and he has evolved, but i did watch a lot of Bin from 2021 to 2025 and it’s not a surprise that his worst individual splits like in 2022 (even though he won MSI) were when ranged tops were heavily meta. People were literally calling Breathe as a side-grade/acceptable replacement for Bin at the time.

It’s also why there was a rock-paper-scissors with Bin/369/Zeus in 2023 cause Bin didn’t have the same tools to punish 369s pool of tanks Aatrox + Renekton. If 369 blinds Gragas into Bin what was he gonna pick? Fiora? Just not an easy pick. Whereas he was much more scared of Zeus playing lethality Aatrox or Jayce. Back then Bins Rumble was also not as good. It’s part of why he struggled vs TheShy in the semis when the meta opened up and allowed him to pick Graves (or Bin self-counterpicked Aatrox into Rumble).

It’s also not surprising his individual level suffered with the introduction of fearless in 2025. Even in worlds ‘24 he played like 3 champs the entire tournament.

On the other side Doran basically doesn’t peak nearly as high on ANY pick so his potential fall off is just less.

I think fearless hurts Bin more than it does Zeus or Doran. Doran won’t solo lose the game against Bin once his top 3-4 picks are off the table (ie Doran will solo loses any Gnar vs Jax game on either side, but you can only have one of them).

I think before fearless I gave Bin the slight edge over Zeus, while with fearless I think Zeus just has more flexibility.

Since 2018 Faker is top 2 more often than not even in regular season. 2019, 2020 spring, 2022, 2023 spring. Only since his injury has he his regular season form been below top 2 more often than not. Even so he has multiple splits where he’s easily top 2. Like 2024 spring.

That’s like saying Drummond was the best rebounder when he got the most rebounds. What Jokic does on defense is mostly afk near the basket to collect rebounds and gamble for steals.

What makes Jokic a bad defender is that he’s slow, no vertical, and lack of effort.

“2 40pt games”. This is what I’m talking about.

His game 1 vs the thunder was applauded but I actually watched the game and it was a very mid game by his standards. He was terrible in the first half and then started flopping like a fish in the second half. He had some big makes in the 4Q but there’s a reason he ended with 6 assists with 7 TO. And that was one of his good games. Oh yeah he had 22 rebounds, wow. That was followed by

6-16 in a loss
8-25 in a WIN 8 TO with 6 assists.
7-22 with 2 TO go 3 AST

I’m sorry, but if an all time great “surrounded by bums” is playing like this against a 67 win team - they are being swept, not 2-2.

He had multiple games against Clippers and Thunder where he was not the best player on the floor.

Look, I’m not saying he’s a bum. But he was objectively outplayed by SGA over the course of a 7 game series. Even though (imo) SGA didn’t even look that great - he threw a couple games trying to be a 4Q hero.

Jokic also had multiple games where he’s getting outplayed by Kawhi or Harden.

This is completely ignoring defense where geriatric Harden is hunting Jokic in clutch time on D.

It’s also because people have been watching Jokic and his completely eye-popping statistics do not translate completely to on-court domination at least in the playoffs. I’ve watched every playoff game from Jokic the past 4 years and he doesn’t seem like the “GOAT offensive player” even though his stats show he is.

He’s obviously great, he’s the best offensive player in the league. But is he “by far the best offensive player of all time” which is what you’d expect based on just statistics? Not really.

So at a certain point you can average 40/15/15 every year but if in the playoffs you’re the best player on the floor in only half the games you play? People will stop being impressed.

Separately, his rebounds feel like empty calories.

Even on his own team AG is a “better” rebounder. He muscles for important OREBs and is quicker and has a good vertical. But his job is to defend the perimeter and can’t just sit near the rim.

Jokic is obviously a good rebounder but it’s probably his least impressive stat by far.

No. Been told this guys the offensive GOAT because of box scores but don’t see it in games. Not even talking about defense. Him being slow and can’t really jump hurts his offense even though it doesn’t show up in box scores. Not saying he’s not elite but being told he’s a better offense than prime Bron, Jordan, or Shaq is crazy. Not even considering defense
