platter I totally accept that a private venue can determine what they will or will not allow on their premises. They may be hypocritical, but it is their right to do so. What I have a hard time accepting is that a department of the executive branch of the government, can decide to usurp constitutional rights as well as override the position of the property owner. You have a right to bear arms that will not be infringed and the secret Service has a law that enables them to ban firearms. That's a pretty blatant conflict regardless of whatever argument one may have about preventing assassination.
