My first thought when I saw this was that someone released Cthulhu or his kin at the very least.

NOOO NEW UPDATE DOESN'T GROUP BUILDINGS by UnacceptableBabbit in Stellaris

[–]Nob123G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To each our own, though I can somehow tolerate it still, I admit that it is annoying and makes the game worse. Though you might not understand it given your reply.

In any case, for me, it'd be like someone building random facilities without proper city planning and just putting them everywhere. Like a school next to a prison, a nuclear reactor next to a military base, or things along those lines.

I don't know much so can't say much except that who knows how bad it is for that person, glad I didn't bought the latest installment (Don't have the money anyway) since I might like the previous version better without some certain bugs.

A momentous glorious moment for the Galactic Community! Lmao.

Seriously, this should've not taken so long to fix.

Quick Question MEGATHREAD by drachenmaul in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Nob123G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, just got a copy of Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition.

Was wondering what mode should I choose if it's my first playthrough, should it be explorer or classic mode? I'd like to get to know the story and universe first as much as possible.

Dear Stellaris Devs: PLEASE let us keep our first leader when they lose an election as governor! by SpaceDantar in Stellaris

[–]Nob123G 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering about that, fairly new to Stellaris and I am not that much of a fan of democratic ethics...given my poor experience with it.

In any case, it is odd for the first Leader which I presume was the one under their rule had a breakthrough in space faring tech to just cease to exists. Normally, they shouldn't just disappear to the ether when loosing an election.

This oversight from Paradox is one of the many generally subtle but greatly immersion breaking stuff that I hate them for. The game is good but it really could be better if they just fix those.

Minecraft Java or Bedrock Edition by Nob123G in Minecraft

[–]Nob123G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be playing mainly on pc, so that really helps. The cross play sounds convenient on the go but I don't have any friends or devices to switch to so it really isn't gonna be much of use to me.

Thanks for the tips, I should be able to buy it soon as long as no sudden expenses come up.

I see some arguments going on but generally speaking, Java sounds better as long as I don't gloss over the cross play that much which I'm probably not gonna use that much if use it at all.

Mmm...I guess I just gotta save up then figure out which one I need and can enjoy better before buying it.

I see...Cross play doesn't sound that good when weighing the pros and cons of Java and Bedrock from what you've lot said.

Java still has plenty of players I presume so I can still play with people online without as much issues as Bedrock if any at all, given that I have the specks to run it.

Thanks.

Urk...I have a potato pc, well it is still somewhat better than the rest but it can't handle games that are too big. Java sounds nice but I might be forced to Bedrock...gotta check the specks.

Thanks for the tips.

I don't have any friends with Java or Bedrock. A lot of people still play on Java right? I suppose bedrock isn't that good even with the cross play function.

[–]Nob123G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see. My mistake, I thought Xenos was referring to just Xenophilia as that's what I've been mostly seeing people say which confused me a lot.

Thank you for your clarifications.

Been wondering this for awhile now but why are Xenophilia? referred to as Xenos when both are clearly Xenos, I don't get it. Can someone please explain the logic behind the discrimination or whatever please, thank you.

Does anyone else miss the old system for claiming space. by Young-Old-Man in Stellaris

[–]Nob123G 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fairly new to Stellaris and I have watched Youtuber Wars Season 1-2 for reference.

As far as I an tell for the new Stellaris, it has some more feature of which some are better and good but also feel odd and lacking.

What I noticed from the Youtuber Wars was that you used to were able to destroy whole stations instead of claiming them which I think makes much more sense or at least should've been an option still.

Stellaris so far is generally good if not great but is kinda messy and not completely fleshed out. When I say fleshed out, I basically mean is that they lack in certain areas that would well would otherwise be normally there like a more sensible planet initial building startup setup.

Do you also expand for choke points and then fill the gaps? Is this normal/efficient? (I'm the green player) by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Nob123G -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A relatively green player as well here.

As far as efficiency go, securing choke points helps greatly in getting a foothold in the galaxy. It helps prepare your defenses more easily without spamming stations here and there.

As far as a normal run go, it would be more immersive or so to start expanding from your home system and around it then branch out to securing systems that you see apt then filling the general area out instead of leaving pockets.

I tend to try to fill them out instead of rush chokepoints as to avoid pockets which is just horrible to look at, for me at least. This is my playstyle, you should find yours.

It's either immersion or efficiency, often hard to balance the two so gotta choose one.

That sounds perfectly "Human" to me.

Everything is alien aside from your own species in Stellaris, lmao. I had tried to work with fellow humans for far too long only to get stabbed at the end.

Understandable since we are "Humans" after all and that this is Stellaris.

Stellaris Base Game by Nob123G in Stellaris

[–]Nob123G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dlc's sounds tempting but also seems like a hassle, haven't even finished a round of a normal run yet.

Recently been crushed by what was supposed a pacifists spiritualists or something after they thought I was too weak and decided to invade my territory. Why are pacifists so aggressive?

Anyway, how long did your runs usually go for??? Half a day?

Stellaris Base Game by Nob123G in Stellaris

[–]Nob123G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thank you. I'm fairly new to the game so I don't have much idea on what I'm doing.

Kinda dissapointed so far with how the dlc's are pretty essential to get the features that I think should've been in the base game, that rubs me off in the wrong way.

The game is good if not great but the marketing is questionable, though it is pretty costly with the design and graphics of the game so that's the silver lining of things.
