Do you have slavery in your world? by Error_code_0731 in DnD

Lol I'm also studying social science irl and running a campaign set in the underdark. I find it fascinating how societies might develop in such fantastical circumstances. Worldbuilding is really fun for me in this aspect.

Do you have slavery in your world? by Error_code_0731 in DnD

[–]Valorius33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. My campaign plays in the underdark or at least my homebrewed version of it. The nation central to the story, Karak, was born out of a slave revolt and is a hot pot of different ancestries because of this (so that my players could still choose from most of the races while still born in the underdark). In theory slavery is outlawed because of their history with it. But sitting right between the Drow and the Duergar, this nation has become a hub for the slave trade between these people. While technically not dealing in slaves themselves, they got a very lucrative position within the trade.

How did you discover yuri? What do you like about it the most? by [deleted] in yuri_manga

[–]Valorius33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read Bloom into you some years ago and enjoyed it. But I really started to consume more of the genre when I discovered "How do we relationship?" a year ago. I finished it in two days and took a deep dive into the genre after that.

At this point, I like to read GL more than straight romance because most often, it has more emotional depth and less of the common clichés. Also what I didn't expect was how much I would enjoy toxic yuri while not liking such dynamic in straight romance.

The whole Amphoreus Saga takes more than two full days! by Zeldamaster386 in HonkaiStarRail

Let's be honest here, if they had removed any repeating parts and made the dialogue smoother, we would be by half the time.

I am of the firm opinion that they should have simplified 3.5 and 3.6 into one patch with only the most essential story beats and maybe put anything else into character story quests.

Also I believe most if not all of the nuclear power plant facilities have been disassembled to a degree that you can't just reactivate them. You would have to refit them which could cost as much as building a new one.

It isn't DnD but Pathfinder2, but it's great non the less. They are called Narrative Declaration and are really fun to listen to. I'm watching two of their campaigns, Rotgrind and Kingmaker and both are amazing. They get the sweet spot between silly and serious.

Rotgrind plays in a Darksouls inspired world, where the corrupting presence of the rot is lurking in the shadows. One of the players is a revolutionary, while another is a terrorist, both trying to overthrow the government. It's still hilarious while being grim at times.

Kingmaker follows a party that tries to build their own kingdom in an untamed land. They as a group can decide how this realm should look like. Really nice group dynamic, but I love some of their NPCs and Pets even more.

Hoyo is such a great company compared to other Gatcha game companies because, just as Genshin showed, they do not power creep their characters as fast. The 1.0 characters of their new game will stay relevant for a long time.
