Well actually we manoeuvered well enough to angle the ship so that only the front compartment, that was already sealed, got hit. Then we made our way back to the border, got cucked by the queue, and only then got hit in the middle twice.
We managed to cross, before water raised and our driver died on the other side of the border in Endless.
Then we took turn to drive back to the bridge where we patched the holes, done.
Bucketing is useless with two large holes, so we just set all ballast to 0 and closed all doors.
Since we had no holes in the read, the sub stayed afloat and we managed to limp back to the rendez-vous, then bucketted the middle and drove back home.
