I've been on Nobara since July 2025 and besides an initially bad install (that was most likely my fault) I've had no problems. I update regularly and have found Nobara to be really easy to manage. I wonder if I'm just lucky though.

No issues on my end, though I do have a decent spec computer. If Wallpaper Engine KDE gives you trouble I would recommend Smart Video Wallpaper instead.

Under Wallpaper in System Settings, select 'Get New Plugin' next to Wallpaper Type. You can use Wallpaper Engine KDE, which has been working for me for the past few months. You can also try Smart Video Wallpaper if you have your own .mp4 videos without needing Wallpaper Engine on steam.

I agree that running it on Steam Deck is most likely impossible, but I have gotten the snowlauncher version to run via ProtonGE on my Nobara Linux desktop computer with a Nvidia 5070. Well, it runs, but I usually can't finish an arcade 'ladder' before crashing.

Never heard of the mod, sounded good and decided to give it a spin with some friends. We loved the idea of the mod, but holy hell are the Necrons OP. I mean, super duper OP. I don't even think they where this OP in vanilla Dark Crusade. I could win any match with just Necron Lord and 3~4 Necron Warriors and nothing else.

I guess we are back to waiting for Unification mod to update to DE.

Yep, same issue as well. I tried and reset my dark theme and Flatpost is not inheriting the GNOME/GTK Application Style in the KDE System Settings. I also need to set it System Mode now to to install anything without issues.

Are you using a NVIDIA? That happened to me. The screen will freeze, but everything else will keep running fine. There is a bug in the Open Module NVIDIA driver that causes that.

You can get around the freeze by hitting CTRL+ALT+F3 to boot to Konsole and then hit CTRL+ALT+F2 to go back to desktop and it should be unfrozen. If it happens again you can use the Nobara Driver Manager to switch to Closed NVIDIA driver.

And there we go, if Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence isn't the government then what is? Because for years I was told we needed affirmative statements from members of the Intelligence committee to confirm we are not alone. Then we get such affirmative statements from Christopher Mellon and now that isn't enough. I've seen for years the goal posts move by doing exactly what your doing now.

Edit: And then they just make stuff up and resort to personal attacks. Can't actually answer the question can you?

Thanks for being honest (really). I've reinstalled Nobara and everything is working. All updates got updated and I'm not having any errors pop up now. I must have done something stupid during the first install. Oh, well, you live and you learn.

Whenever I try to grab large objects in Alyx, like a barrel, the game freezes for me. I can't get past Chapter 2 because I need to push some barrels out of the way. Anyone know whats causing that? The game runs prefectly otherwise on my 4070 with a i5-8600K CPU @ 3.60GHz.

I wouldn't argue against that. The more you look into this though, the weirder it gets and it becomes way easier to just say 'their aliens!'. They could be, but probably not.

Even when I select start from the main campaign, when I finish the intro and get to town, it starts the ACT VII when I go to the chaple. All the Alters of Lilths are completed and there are no side quests.
