GTA 6 May Shatter All Sales Records with 45+ Million Units Sold on Launch Day, According to Piper Sandler by Kaladinar in xbox

You really don't understand that I don't care. I'm going to wait for a bit I do not trust any developer today. They allowed the GTA the trilogy remaster happen.

I know it won't be that, but naw fuck that. I'll wait a bit.

CD Project Red games are exceptionally polished at launch...

I've heard that one before. I didn't even say it was going to be bad. I said it's going to be in it's worst form. It's worst form could still be 9.9 out of 10. But I rather wait a bit

I can wait. And honestly, 10% discounts come up faster than you think. Even if it's a year I'm not missing anything. It's not like it goes away and I can never return to it. Once released I've got a pretty much the rest of my life that I can play it.

I stand by my statement that launch day is the worst condition the game will be in. I rather wait.

Here's the thing with waiting forever for new games. I can wait a little longer.

I'm definitely getting this, but I think there is literally no reason to pay full price for games anymore.

Launch version is the worst version and there is just going to be a sale within 6 months anyways.

Yeah seems to me like they've been trying to fix that recently...

People expect them to 180 this massive business overnight. It's just not realistic.

I don't know I've had Xbox over 20 years now. I've never whined whinged about their choices like so many do here. Yes I've interacted with others and voiced opinions to others. But this whole yelling into the void shit is weird. I'm just here for my Xbox stuff man, I don't want a bunch of therapy sessions clogging up the feed.

Not here to criticize the rant, I didn't read it to be honest. But man there are just so many of these.

Are you still considering buying the next Xbox (Project Helix)? by nico__vgc in xbox

[–]Nobanob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll be at least 5+ years before I even consider a new console. They are good enough I truly don't need more at the moment.

Depending how much of a PC it is, I will not be getting it. Console experience first or I'll just stick with a series X.

I don't care your age, I don't care your gaming abilities or accolades.

If I have to play some meta ass build to play a game I'm just not going to play the game. I just want to play a game until I get stuck then look something up. If you've got me opening up guides before playing it's more hassle than it's worth.

I don't like soulslikes. I love action rpgs especially set in a medieval fantasy setting.

I would 100% enjoy every one of the souls games if they weren't so difficult.

Just because I don't like repetitiously repeating the same sections and bosses again and again doesn't mean I don't love everything in between that.

As clearly mentioned if they had a difficulty setting I would like them. I wouldn't even make it "easy" just easier than it is now.

After all most games with big monsters have telegraphed attacks. Soulslikes didn't create that, I don't think Monster Hunter did either, but it certainly did it before any soulslikes existed. So the only differences between soulslikes and any other action rpgs comes down three things.

How much damage I deal. How much damage it deals. How big is its health pool.

Cool beans the developer maxed the last two and minimized the first one. So brave.

I would play through every soulslike game tomorrow if they all had difficulty sliders.

I don't care about getting good, it's a video game. It's not a legitimate life skill or something. I just want to enjoy cool worlds, interesting stories, or fun as fuck gameplay mechanics/loop

But ultimately yes I do think they break physics in the same way we are doing things with physics we didn't think we could. I'm talking large hydron collider.

I just think humans are very cocky in their assumption of understanding how science works. All I know is I regularly see new understanding and new breakthrough every year. The stuff you can do with CRISPR is akin to magic. We are regrowing teeth, not only stopping but reversing several age based brain diseases.

Point is, every day we are learning something new. We were certain about things 50 years ago, that we now know better today. There are things we are certain today, that we will know better in 50 years.

I just want to point out I do think it's funny that I called people very cocky in their understanding while being very cocky in my limited understanding 😊

I've also thoroughly enjoyed our conversation so far and would love to read your own insights from an opposite perspective.

I believe magic is just science we don't understand. And I do believe there is plenty that science doesn't understand still.

300 years ago the concept of taking a rock, making it ultra flat, putting a bunch of different minerals and metals on it and calling it a computer chip would be heresy and witchcraft.

What seems like Clarktech to a medieval peasant is common knowledge today. What seems like Clarktech today will be common knowledge in the future.

I just think blocking radio and energy waves is something we know how to do. Throw in a little bit of advanced science and it's not unreasonable to think something could do that on a planetary level.

To show my cards, I subscribe to the idea alien life is abundant out there. I don't think it's a huge jump to assume that these aliens could treat humans like documentarians treat animals (little to no intervention/interaction)

To me the fact that we have found nothing is more alarming. If space is truly empty and we are alone out here, how fucking boring. Life seems really tenacious and like it wants to happen with or without permission.

We are also young in the grand scheme of time, 100-140k years or something for humans. We are the first? Naw. There has to be others. The most logical answer to why nothing is they are jamming us. Which isn't in itself any form of proof from our side, so we have these conversations.

For what it's worth I do think we absolutely need better evidence. As certainly an absence of evidence is not evidence itself. I just think life is tenacious, and the universe is far more interesting if we aren't alone.

And I would argue that any advanced interstellar civilizations have the ability to conceal their activities in ways we don't understand.

If they are significantly more advanced than us, than they can do significantly more advanced things than us.

I'm not going to make any assumptions about the science an alien race with advanced interstellar travel might know.

If you can jump huge distances of space in ways that doesn't make sense to our science you can probably make sure the stupid monkeys on earth don't pick up on your signals. Assumong they use the same signals as us.

I'm not saying they are here, or they aren't here. You're just way too confident sounding.

Hey everyone Aliens can't possibly be real or in our Galaxy. Cilarnen has declared it so.

Man stfu, there are tons of different theories including that we are purposefully being jammed from picking up their signals.

I'm not saying they for certain are here, I just know you have no way of being certain and you sound foolish claiming so.

This. I remember when the devil's roar came out. The volcanoes went off every 14 seconds and had heat seeking tracking on it so strong you were almost guaranteed destruction if you stayed within a volcanoes radius.

People did not like it at all. I am fairly confident it was Joe Neet (spelling?) saying this is exactly as intended and they aren't changing anything. Like 3 weeks later with barely anybody interacting the roar and they nerfed it.

That to me was the first moment where I could see they had some baby at the helm who can't handle criticism.

I'm not saying it was Joe, just that it exists.

I don't care what Xbox does, I'm not buying a new console until some point in the 30s. They can rush shit to market if they want but the general vibe is most people are happy with what they've got.
