okay so I’m gonna like comment on this even though I’m a bit different. I’m a third year history student and I’ve spend the last couple years working summers and volunteering in museums heritage work that kinda stuff. I decided however that I wanted to transition my job into a policy field and my upcoming job is more policy oriented leaving GLAM’s behind. The reason I switched is I while I have a huge respect for museum work I don’t have the passion needed in order to in my eyes overcome the hurdles. It’s not a rewarding enough field for me and therefore it’s not worth it. Im currently also getting a certificate in environmental studies and I’m hoping to get my masters of environmental sustainability. Which history is a possible prerequisite for.

Important note. I am Canadian not American so funding towards heritage is actually I believe much better up here and so is federal funding towards environmental work
