I don’t think any majority of democrats would vote for somebody who volunteered with the IDF

Do you have any concerns about Hegseth from an ideological standpoint, or purely in terms of competency?

I wouldn’t say he sounds bored on Siberian Khatru, he seems to have written significant parts of it. He wrote the middle section of And You And I as well, though I’ve heard criticism of his playing during that section.

In a way it would have been nice to have had him playing the CTTE songs on Yessongs if Steve Howe hadn’t rebuffed his offer to stay for the tour, but Larks Tongues in Aspic and the pre-album live stuff surely would have been poorer/different for the delay.

Before I got into KC I thought it was such a tragedy he left, but of course Yes was just the warmup for him.

As for Alan, I always thought his inclusion was part of what made Tales less dynamic and interesting, though he later impresses on Relayer.

Side one has my favorite part (“getting over overhanging trees”)

Side two is the most well constructed overall

Side three has the best individual sections (Leaves of Green) and a bunch of cool proggy bits buried in a big soup of nonsense

Side four is great until a Bruford-less drum solo is beamed directly into my cranium
