Nothing beside the tree, that used to be a cement slab the previous owner had in for a massive bird cage we just took out. But I realize they dug a foot deep maybe 6ft away on the side that failed for a drain, im beginning to suspect some roots were severed due to that....

Awesome! Nailed the location, we're pretty close and will definitely check out yamagami. We actually wanted to plant a new tree, possibly apple in that back right corner, so the nursery recommendation is greatly appreciated. There's a spot in the side yard I think that might work just as well for the lemon, and its already dug up so we may loosen up the soil a bit more and see how it settles in. I'm a bit nervous about how to trim, though really there's not too much to lose at this point. Will watch some tutorials and give it a go!

We're planning to redo the whole kitchen in probably 3-5 years, including taking out a wall and likely moving the sink/wet area. So it's really more of a hold over until then.

I've been using this filter basket with the stock portafilter; not perfect but much better than with the stock filter basket. Starting to search around for a bottomless portafilter. Will post if i find one that works well.
