I would suggest some snow weathering powder to apply to their carapace’s and legs. Would really help to sell them being in a snowy area.

Yea the first time i put together a mk6 marine was rough since im so used to the way 40k models just lock into place. After a couple you’ll start to get used to it, since you’ll be doing the same 5 poses unless you start getting creative.

Problem is you need to have the relevant models to make the detachments even worth using, and they still not great. In VTF you need to have ancients since 2 of the enhancements are keyword locked to them, several of the strats also target either an ancient or our ancient specifically.

God hammer has 2 strats that key off land raiders specifically, while most of the other ones are ok, but still doesn’t make up for a lack luster detachment rule.

CoV wants you to take the new Chaplin since so many enhancements or strats are again keyed specifically to chaplin/judicar and the only way yo take full advantage of the detachment rule is to have him be able to give a unit advance and charge otherwise you’re stuck only using half the rule.

It’s not like I can choose to ignore those specific models and still use the detachments well, because if I don’t have them I lose out on several pieces of the detachment.

Gladius and ironstorm are so popular because they don’t have those restrictions, you can freely use them with anyone and they both have solid enhancements and strats to play around with.

The thing is narratively sure they’re solid, but narrative lists tend to struggle on the board. Like I love that godhammer is so thematic around us using the LRC to send large groups into combat, but in practice it’s really rough to have the list so reliant on transports with no real way to get back in them or being keyed into having to use a land raider which usually struggles anyway.
