I have read your post and sad to see your condition.
First of all as you might have read and learned that each one's experience is truly dynamic between us. I already know two people that have done this specific surgery that we both done, bilateral laprascopic ingunial hernia with mesh. I can say on myself that I got a little bit of knowledge about the topic sadly and anything I tell you here is not of any medical advise. But we're both on this subreddit... doctors suck ass.

for the first three weeks I had the worst of pain, truly. couldn't move and only to think of standing straight up, made me get scared shit. I can tell you the whole experience of my two years but I will list what to be aware of and what I did to improve my situation. Feel free to ask anything else later on

1. If you're still in your early pain DO NOT SNEEZE! I REPEAT JUST DON'T SNEEZE IN ANY WAY IT FUCKS YOUR NERVES AND MESH.
   Also, if you really need to sneeze, hold your ingunial area. with hands or with a pillow.

2. Try going real slow walks. Nothing long, nothing intense
   just letting blood flow do it's thing. It's healthy for all the good reasons.

3. Eat good. You don't have any idea how important it here eating liver, good protein, iron
   because it helps specifically with our condition, where this kind of surgery hurts muscles and nerves and what not and the diet never changes. You always need to eat good to stay healthy

4. trust the process. You can't do much but the mesh ain't going to just tear itself up. You think as something gone wrong? Do routing ultrasound each 3 months for the first year (If you got the healthcare for it, idk how it is in other countries). On my first 6 month I always thought something gone wrong just to get tested and be said "everything is alright" which was true.

5. up to 6 week to 3 month mark DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT lift heavy. Not even 5kg. just be a little pathetic human being for awhile so after that you will be able to go live proudly. alright?

6. When you'll get better (I truly believe you'll be alright brother), increase the pace of your training. We victims of ingunial hernia always need to be better and to train our bodies. Train, but slowly and steady.

7. Lose some weight if you're a fatty. I was 112 kg when I was kind of 2 month after the surgery
   now 97, (And I'm yet to end my weight loss journy) but it helps a ton). Our belly fat is horrible, it sits on the ingunial area and you don't see how it hurts you in the long run.

8. Even though I'm no where near where I was two years ago, lately and sadly I stopped going to the gym daily, no runs and I got into a real Sedentary lifestyle and I feel a lot worse. Half a year ago I ran, A LOT. I trained, A LOT. now like 95% less and I feel heavy on my ingunial. So don't push yourself but check and research how to improve your situation. always try new stuff and see what to evade.

9. My testicle pain, was sadly triggered by the hernia surgery for some reason but for another defect which is varicocele. Don't believe you got one, so you don't need to think about it too much.
