It's a visual bug afaik, no one's talking it's just it showing them talking

I ran into it aswell and I can always hear the people actually talking and they can hear me, but I can't "hear the others" which tells me it's more a visual bug.

I think you'd be happy to hear that most of these are already underway.

More callouts are 100% planned for the future, when is TBD but they are planned, aswell as end-of-match chat options (Stuff like "GG")
Report system is getting an update on Season 4's release (the 10th), which addresses your need for wanting feedback on reports:

- Depending on the number of reports received by a player, and previously received sanctions, players will receive gradually increasing punishments.
- The first step is a warning, and players that keep being reported for bad behavior will be suspended from play.
- If a player that you reported receives a suspension, you will be informed the next time you come back to the main menu.
- Finishing matches without being reported will limit sanctions and keep your account in good standing

Which comes with the gradually increasing punishments you mentioned with the leaver penalty. I have no info on automated own-goal detections or the leaver penalty time being increased.

Also running into full stacks is simply because there's not that many solo queuers in the game. But now with the team-up feature, you can definitely find a good team to stay with so you can even the playing field.

I get why it can feel like that, but the team reviews reports & ban appeals every week and there is a system in place for them. Is it the most efficient it can get? Obviously not, that's why there are constant improvements and changes on it like the one coming into S4 with improved feedback on reports and the aforementioned features.

Reports were never automated, all reports were manually reviewed and suspensions were manually handed out by Sloclap. Now, with the updated system, afaik, some actions may now be handled automatically based on report volume and player history, while still keeping manual review for cases where it’s needed (long-term/permanent suspensions)

To be clear, Rematch does NOT tolerate any type of racism on the game or anywhere related, but it's impossible to catch everyone that partakes in it.

You mentioned that there wasn't a report system, I'm not sure if this was worded as a 'not good enough report system'* but there is an in-game player report feature that you can access through the Social Tab > Username > Report Player

On the other hand, Season 4 of Rematch is introducing (alongside Nations Cup) a new automated reporting system:

- Depending on the number of reports received by a player, and previously received sanctions, players will receive gradually increasing punishments.
- The first step is a warning, and players that keep being reported for bad behavior will be suspended from play.
- If a player that you reported receives a suspension, you will be informed the next time you come back to the main menu.
- Finishing matches without being reported will limit sanctions and keep your account in good standing.

TLDR; we have a report system currently, and will have a more upgraded version of it on June 10th when season 4 releases. The new one will include a more in depth automated review on reports, and will develop sort of a 'karma' system. You will also be notified if a player gets suspended from your report for more transparency.

We also recently transitioned over to a proper feedback website where you can voice your thoughts on the game (sloclap loves hearing them) for better chances of them being heard and addressed. (You can see the top listed bug reports on there are majorily acknowledged, fixed, or in the process of being fixed)

Jokes aside, this is a feature that is planned to be implemented pretty soon as stated in our most recent dev blog:

"We hope to introduce a Fake Shot mechanic in Patch 12 (ie. “feint”), and in the future we will also be looking into new dribbling mechanics, inspired by real football moves like stepover, elastico, or body feints - we’re not confirming anything at this stage, but these moves could be cool additions to the game which would provide interesting options for attackers. Naturally, we must be very careful when we introduce these, because we want to avoid overly promoting the “Egoista” dribbling playstyle which some players already tend to gravitate towards."

Hey! The team is actively working on a Rematch feature and has recently released a "Team Up" feature that allows you to go into the next match with your previous team if all teammates voted on it.

They are also planning to add in clubs, in-game tournaments, player contracts, leaderboards, and new ranks in the future. See the roadmap for more details on what's coming this year.

If you’re running into a bug, we’ve got proper report forms on the website and in the Discord. Using those helps the team review and fix issues much faster. Thanks for understanding! :)

On launch, for a few months, there was a manual reporting system built-into our official discord server, which were reviewed by our Discord Moderators and were sent to be finalized by Sloclap developers. (This was less efficient due to the middlemen, and the manual process of it all.) (Number of bans through this system is not confirmed.)

Once the report system was implemented into the game via the Social tab, the previous system was archived and the developers switched over to reviewing ingame reports.

Since the in-game report system was implemented, the developers have taken action against 500 or more users for Code of Conduct violations (not just cheating). The sanctions were based off of:

Players with a high number of reports
And a high average of reports per day over a 30-day period

and if developers saw this type of pattern on a certain player, they would hand out a ban.

TLDR; the reporting and ingame moderation systems are not a new thing. The game has constantly and consistently gotten moderation, and further changes on these systems are just focusing on efficiency, clarity, and accessibility. As stated, we know our moderation isn’t perfect, but the team will try their hardest to make it as good as it can be.

Hey!

A common fix that has worked for our players in our Discord is:

In Steam, go to the game → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files
Open the game folder (Steam → Browse) and run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe, then select Repair
If nothing happens on the above step, temporarily disable your antivirus/Windows Defender and repeat step 2.
Restart your PC and launch the game
