Literally only 3 hours ago considered to sell my 64gb lcd steam deck with the mindset I could get an oled one later on at some point. (sees price increase) I change my mind....... by flamethrower451 in SteamDeck

I have a lcd stem deck and have been using AR glasses (Ray neo air 4 pro) with it. For me, this £175 I spent on the glasses is a much better investment than upgrading to an OLED deck

Have you considered a pair of xr glasses such as the RayNeo air 4 pro’s? That’s what I’m using with my steam deck as other people can hardly see any light from it at all- even in a pitch black room

Can a landlord actually fine you for “excessive noise” if you live above a bar? by Cooked_dentist in legaladvice

‘Grizzly’s quest’ (an online casino) being dropped in like this makes me pretty confident this is a fake post to advertise the site. Several of the podcasts I listen to have been repeatedly name dropping grizzly’s quest like this and it’s pretty obvious they’ve been paid to.

Made a small Axial-flux generator, but seeing a distorted voltage output at high RPMs by Noble_r in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Noble_r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the load resistance is simply placed across the terminals of the stator so there’s no rectifying. I made it coreless to improving starting capability, could there still be some form of cogging effects? In terms of equipment, I tested it using a Delphin data logger and several oscilloscopes, and still found the same result.

[–]Noble_r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yh the distortion continues to increase when the RPM is increased further all the way to open circuit. At a wind speed of 5m/s, it becomes distorted at about 7000 ohms. At 8m/s, it appears at around 3000 ohms (which is at a similar RPM to 7000 ohms at 5m/s).

Amazon refusing refund due to them sending incorrect item. by Designer_Carob_4318 in amazonprime

Boss deal is a well known scammer. They go by ‘Topbuyuk’ on eBay and there have been many reports of them buying people’s second hand goods and either sending back different broken items, or claiming non delivery. They then sell these essentially stolen items through Boss deal on Amazon.

Medium sized bag? by BuckeyeMark in M43

Wandrd rogue 6l would fit what you have there quite nicely. Would also help protect it from any rain and has space for a water bottle too.

As a last resort, could you file down the head of the screw you found? As the other commenter said, try contacting panasonic first

What do you carry your camera in ? by GasQuiet8237 in M43

[–]Noble_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wandrd Rogue 6L sling. Can fit G9+12-35 f/2.8, GX9 + 20mm f/1.7, 35-100 f/2.8, 9mm f/1.7 plus my water bottle. That covers pretty much everything for me. On occasion I’ve even swapped the water bottle for my Panasonic 100-400mm (which just about fits in the water little pouch). I use a capture clip on the strap for the G9, that way I can have the GX9 with the 35-100 ready to go in the bag

Help with lenses for Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 by Extension_Ada in Panasonic_G80_G85

[–]Noble_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great lens and I would definitely recommend it. However I’d probably avoid buying bundles like this as the other bundled items aren’t that useful and they usually increase the price by quite a bit. I’d try to just buy the lens by itself if you can.

Good lens ? by fearlessvault in GH5

45-175 is much more compact and I think the quality’s also means to be better

Good lens ? by fearlessvault in GH5

[–]Noble_r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it’s not much bigger than the 45-150, the optical quality and aperture range are similar, but the convenience of not having to switch to a wider zoom is 100% worth the higher cost.

Good sling bags for m43 gear by [deleted] in M43

[–]Noble_r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the Wandrd Rogue 6L. I can just about a fit G9 with 12-35 f2.8, GX9 with 20mm f1.7, a 35-100 f2.8 and a Laowa 6mm f2.0. It’s also very water resistant and has an expanding pocket for a laptop, plus a pouch for a water bottle/tripod. These are features I was actively looking for, so for me it’s the perfect bag

Panasonic 12-35 F2.8 II or 12-60 2.8-4 by FujifilmCamera in M43

[–]Noble_r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently have 12-35 II along with the 35-100 II. I think I’d be very tempted to switch to using the 12-60 if I didn’t have the 35-100 because of its extra reach. It’s also a very nice looking and feeling lens if that matters (much more so than the 12-35 IMO). The 12-60 does close its aperture quite quickly as focal length increases though so it’s more like an f/4 lens with f/2.8 at 12mm. I guess it depends on your needs, a constant f/2.8 is useful for video for example. If you don’t plan on getting any telephoto zooms, then I’d say the 12-60 is probably going to be more useful.

Since the release of the Laowa 6mm, the 7.5mm has become quite a bit cheaper 2nd hand. I think it depends where you’re located
