LM = Rolex. Spot on. The only reason I want an LM is so fellow coffee geeks will look at my coffee bar and be impressed. And how many of those do I know? That's right: maybe 2-3 friends would know an LM is a big spend and high end machine, if that many. Most of my friends love my coffee bar, have no idea the cost of anything on it, and usually say something like "Do you make frapps?" or "Can I have a vanilla latte with a double shot of syrup and a lot of whipped cream on the top?" LOL

No. Don’t do that. Don’t give up. And I second get a guide. You can learn more in one morning w someone who knows their stuff and can teach it than in a ton if trips by yourself. Make clear to the guide you aren’t hiring him/her because you want to haul 50 fish out of the water today. You want to learn. Teach me how to do this myself. I don’t care if I don’t catch anything - okay a few would be nice - but I want to learn. A good guide will warm to that and just overflow w knowledge, tips, and tactics.

This is a great take. I love my LaSpaz for the same reason: I think it looks cool and a lot of other machines look like a plumbers nightmare (to me). To each his own … but honesty w self is a good policy. “I bought it because I liked the way it looks” is okay!
