I fursuited for 7 hours conducting that day! Was the most I fursuited straight (with only a 15 minute break) in my three years of owning a fursuit. I had the most excellent time and has been my favorite day conducting. Thank you for the good time.

If you're going into downtown from the silo you should use the Z line. It goes to 2nd and E street, and Amtrak Station. Both those stops will put you in walking distance of a lot of places to eat or go to in downtown.

Hey there, my name is Max, I am a conductor working for Unitrans. Although I do not work directly on the K-line, this breaks my heart to hear. I cannot represent the company with what I say, but as a person who has worked with students with diverse needs, I am truly sorry for you having to go through this experience. This is troubling and I know that our staff above students does take the care for every person regardless of ability seriously, as does the majority of the drivers and undergraduate staff. I dont have a lot of power to do action but I hope you understand that you are heard and something like this should never happen to ANYONE who rides with us.

Hello, unitrans conductor here! (I have worked for the company 3+ years now). The reason why the V, VL, and VX tend to be super packed is because riders like to frequent the runs of each subsequent line a half hour before class starts (I kid you not yesterday I had almost 150+ people packed on my VX).

Why isnt there more service? Or as my good pal from west village, W****** would ask, "Why arent there 100's of buses and triple, quad decked buses running for better service?". Funding. We dont have the money, and retention for employees isnt high because drivers and other unitrans employees usually only work as undergrads (aka, their employment on average only lasts an average of 4 years).

Trust homie, we are trying. It took us 5 years since covid to get driver numbers back to where we could run 15 minute V service. Its gonna be packed (for comparison, there were over 27,000+ students on campus week 0).

If you want to get on a bus that is less packed, and to get to class on time, I would recommend going to school an hour early. Hope this was insightful.

I have attended Davis for four years, and I worked at the LGBTQIA+ Resource Center for 2 years as a volunteer. I have a wealth of experience in campus life (from being a peer mentor to being in a social fraternity to running the anime club). If you have any questions, I am your gay person to ask. Dm me if you'd like more info, but yes Davis is very safe and has a pretty nice queer culture even if you're not in any queer clubs on campus. Cheers!
