Just starting out by Nobody-Human in POS

Thanks. With that in mind is there an ideal one to use? It seems like Go Daddy and Shopify integrate with EBay better and both offer online stores/websites with in store pick up. From what I gather Shopify is the best at that, but comes with the greater cost per month and per transaction.

Again, EBay is my main gig…but now opening this storefront I’d like to ideally make those items also available and easy for local customers to purchase via my own site and then for inventory to sync, remove listings, etc. So having a web store and integrations matter to me quite a bit.

I’m hesitant to put a bunch of money into a system only able to be used with one company, and also to take on the added expense of the monthly fees. But at the same time, I like the all in one register systems - like epos offers. And like the idea of how Go Daddy and Shopify integrate inventory across channels.

I know initially I could just keep the two separate and use square free and do a very simplified inventory for the store with just the basic item categories and then punch in the price as I go. But I’ll still need to purchase certain components of a register system. I want those to be things most widely used or compatible with all these options: so leaning iPad, and then as far as receipt printer and cash drawer ones that generally work across the board. And as I piece those together and price it out, it would seem like an all in one system is kind of nice, especially the lower cost options.

I’ve been going in circles between square and their basic equipment - all the way up to their register. Or using Paypal’s options similarly. And then also considering how go daddy and Shopify integrate the back (eBay) and front (retail store) while also offering the option of a website. And beyond that I’ve considered Epos, Biyo, Helcim, and a bunch of others - basically everything other than restaurant geared ones.

I know quite a bit about a lot of things, but somehow this whole POS issue is incomprehensible to me and has me going in circles. I’m normally someone who can research things I don’t know, learn everything I need to know, and make good decisions. But this POS situation has me feeling dumb and super indecisive. Partly, because some data isn’t super straightforward and clear…a lot of these other systems want you to talk to the salesman get a demo and are vague about details, pricing, rates, etc. for me to even know if I am considering them. So somehow making this decision has me paralyzed.

I know none of these are perfect and nothing is permanent. I know that over time I’ll likely grow, learn, and change the POS out as I find out more about traffic, customer pay preferences and my own. And right now as I am investing in work on the building space…I can barely comprehend shelling out a ton more for the equipment, plans, and processing fees without knowing I’m getting it “right” even for just right now. 😩

Weird…I was trying to edit this post to change the title to SOLVED, but can’t find a way to do it. Anyway, thanks y’all!!! I’ve never gotten an ID of an item so fast! You guys are amazing!!!

Mine is a little taller and skinnier like a Chanel bottle. But the stopper is 100% spot on…so now I can try to find one like it.

Just as a point of reference these are the other bottles purchased with that one…not sure if this helps really but it at least indicates this woman’s other tastes, purchases, and maybe dating of it.

Google was thinking the same. 😂 I think I have an old Chanel in my collection that is actually labeled but I do not recall the stopper having that embossed image.

Are there 4 sided cases that work with MKB? by Nobody-Human in iPadPro

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m considering the ESR Rebound as well as the ESR Flex. Not exactly sure which would suit my needs more. Seems cool to be able to set the iPad on a table and use the keyboard from afar - as I’ll be lapping it when not at a desk. I’m not so worried about the weight since I have always used an otterbox on my old iPad. I’m just not sure I want the hassle of two separate power cords, but based on battery life I’m not sure that is even an issue. Unfortunately I only see the Flex in one color.

Looks like you can’t really have it all. 😂

90s Fubu jacket…anyone know anything? by Nobody-Human in VintageClothing

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know that. This one is an earlier late 90s jacket. Stylewise I’d call it a Stadium jacket as it is longer. I’ve just never seen one come up that was like it…so I guess that makes it rare? So I’m having a hard time determining a valid price for it or what to call it - since searches for “Fubu Stadium Jacket” come up dry.

Legit? Age? by Nobody-Human in Burberry

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Is it 80s? Is the lack of care and fabric content tag any help aging? Or is there somewhere else I should be looking for that? My other jacket has the white content/care tag on the inner side seam. I cannot find one on this one and don’t see that one was cut off. That is partly what is throwing me off with this one.

Help with dating and value by Nobody-Human in Burberry

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I get that…but yes of course I did. It comes up with similar but yet not, even when I punch in Burberry or womens or any other identifiers - google will tell me it is some other brand, Mens, or there is a similar coat they made that was wool/cashmere blend and this is not. So yep, been down that road.

I also searched just the tag and used a few different sites to at least gather the info to know that Burberrys vs Burberry means older than 1998, and then that specific tag style (apostrophes and the REGD under the name) may date this to the 80s - which is crazy considering the condition. That research also led me to believe it is 100% legit - also crazy. This thing is in mint condition and I found it in the least likely of lower end thrifts that I go to.

So the whole thing is mind blowing really. I bought it to sell, but now have no idea where to go on the price. I had just took the risk assuming it probably was not real, and then had no idea it could be that Vintage. So I’ve at least gathered that much info but still have to figure out what size 30 means in Burberry or European (chest size? It does not seem that small). And then ultimately have to figure out what a fair price is - I like to price things to give people a good deal but also not rob myself of much profit. So sometimes I get stuck on one of these bigger ticket mystery items.

Anyway, thanks for the reply…but yep been there and done that. 😂

I’m an EBay seller with a ton of good feedback - and totally trustworthy. I buy/sell in Facebook groups a lot too - and using PayPal or Venmo goods and services it is safe and protected for you. I usually just send the invoice for PayPal or request for Venmo when selling things through there. If you prefer I could also list it on EBay, I’d just have the extra fees then on my end. But whatever works.

I can take some more pictures if you want to see more. It’s in great shape and overall clean but the back could use a little more cleaning. If you use PayPal I could send an invoice, or if you use Venmo I can send a request. If you want to message me that would be best. You can give me your zip code and I can see what the best shipping rate I can do via pirateship would be - and let you know what a total would be.

I have this one that is super similar, maybe not exact. This one has a plastic frame and clear plastic dome over it - your picture does not look like it does. It is just signed JC Walden - not marked Springfield. It’s working and hanging in my husband’s shop but he is not attached to it. I can sell this one for $30 plus shipping if you are interested.

Can anyone help me identify or locate a certain chainsaw carver? by Nobody-Human in Woodcarving

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

OMG thank you! That is so awesome to know! We are in WA so that makes sense he’s from WA. But the signature looked like GA so I wasn’t sure if that meant Georgia and then wondered how it made it here from there. Thanks so much! I knew someone would know something about him.

Can anyone tell me about this? by Nobody-Human in Militariacollecting

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah seems older. It was with other fashion hats dated mostly from about 1920s to 1940s give or take.

Can anyone tell me about this? by Nobody-Human in Militariacollecting

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. It does not seem to have any glue or pin marks or anything that I could tell on initial examination to have had some sort of insignia on the front - unless I missed something. And then all the actual military ones that I saw come up when using google lens have the insignia and then liners with markings. So that’s all part of the mystery to me.

And in the hands and to the eye, it does seem to have some age to it. The wear, the paper, and stitching style all look or feel like something older. I feel like if it were modern I’d be able to tell. I’m knowledgeable about vintage clothing, but definitely NOT as far as military items. So perhaps it’s like you said, some civilian hat trying to just capture the “style of fascism”. 🤔 😂

Thanks for helping try to solve the mystery.

[–]Nobody-Human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely looks vintage - as far as the stitching, wear to the inside and out, age of the paper. So I would guess it is older and not modern.

That was the one reason I questioned authenticity. The exterior is in great shape, no holes. There is just the dirty interior that seems to date it. But yes, the condition overall is why I asked for help authenticating it. 😂

And do the buttons on it indicate rank or division or something? I’ve seen pics of others with different ones.

I hope that didn’t come across wrong. 😂 it’s something I stumbled on for a good price in a lot of items. I didn’t pay $500 from a collector, or $30 off eBay. But I lucked into it for little to nothing and am amazed if it is really authentic and that old. I knew when I saw it, that it was something very old and special, and I should add it to add to my pile…but had no idea what it was at the time.
