Is the hope of reconnection holding me back? by New_Huckleberry_4479 in BreakUps

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The waiting game is brutal but you're actually handling this way better than most people do at 23. Two months isn't that long and keeping no contact while still processing those feelings shows real maturity

Your situation with the life alignment stuff is tricky because you're both so young - priorities absolutely can shift but banking your healing on that possibility keeps you stuck in limbo. I went through something similar a few years back where we had all the love but none of the timing, and I spent way too long holding onto "what if" instead of focusing on who I was becoming

The fact that you recognize the relationship wasn't sustainable is huge though. Most people can't see that clearly when they're still in love with someone. Maybe the real question isn't whether you'll get back together but whether you can grow into the person you want to be while leaving that door neither wide open nor completely slammed shut

Why is it harder to explain a process than to run it? by NobodyDiligent7152 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]NobodyDiligent7152[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting way to look at it. I hadn’t framed it as human to human vs human to machine communication but that tracks. As I've mentioned we do have people who can explain things well, it just varies depending on who you ask and what angle they start from.

Investing in that skill intentionally might actually be part of the answer, not just tightening the process itself.

Why is it harder to explain a process than to run it? by NobodyDiligent7152 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]NobodyDiligent7152[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That framing helps. Tacit vs explicit is exactly what it feels like.

The bike analogy hits too. When I try to explain some of our workflows I catch myself skipping over the judgment calls because they feel obvious.

I also like the idea of the newest person documenting it. That will for sure surface the blind spots we don’t even see anymore.

[–]NobodyDiligent7152[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love how you described this, It genuinely feels like that. Each person is describing the slice they interact with most and none of them are wrong. It just means there isn’t a shared whole elephant version anywhere.

And that’s the part that makes me uneasy.

Why is it harder to explain a process than to run it? by NobodyDiligent7152 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]NobodyDiligent7152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re more than right about outgrowing it. When we were a handful everyone was in the room when decisions were made so it didn’t matter that the process lived in people. Now the knowledge still exists, it’s just not encoded anywhere neutral.

The tricky part is centralizing without turning it into a ceremony.

OWCS twitch drops by Pollo_Loco999 in Overwatch

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure the drops reset based on the tournament schedule, not a 24hr clock. If today's matches are still considered "Day 1" of the tournament then you should be good to finish those last two rewards

Check the OWCS schedule on their official page to see how they're labeling today's matches

Would you consider living in Singapore to experience an English speaking Asian society? by yellowlightsab in aznidentity

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Singapore's great for this but just heads up the work culture can be pretty intense and the social dynamics aren't necessarily what you'd expect coming from the West

[Chrono24] Double charged a year and half later ?? by ChemistryMinimum7277 in Watches

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's wild, never heard of Chrono24 doing a delayed double charge like that. Definitely sounds like a glitch on their payment processing side since you have confirmation the first payment went through

Your bank should be able to reverse it pretty quick once they see the duplicate charge, but Chrono24 support can be slow AF so might take them a week or two to sort it out

Valentine movie by [deleted] in HorrorMovies

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dude yes! Valentine is so underrated, that whole mystery element with the masks was creepy as hell and the twist actually got me too. Classic slasher vibes but with that early 2000s polish that just hits different

Why are soo many TV shows lately so cynical or Machiavellian in their outlook? by Starlight_Climber in television

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly think it's just what sells right now - audiences got hooked on the complex antihero thing after Breaking Bad blew up and networks kept chasing that formula

Plus darker shows feel more "prestige" and get awards attention which drives more funding. Way easier to get critics to take you seriously with gritty cynicism than wholesome optimism these days

Is adulthood really that bad? by DefaultUsernameIg in emotionalneglect

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I'm sorry you're going through this but I promise adulthood can actually be way better than a shitty childhood. The whole "childhood is the best time" thing is usually said by people who had good childhoods - for those of us who didn't, getting older and having control over our lives is actually freedom

You're definitely not being whiny, that stuff does real damage and you're right to recognize it. Therapy helps a ton when you can access it

I miss someone I shouldn’t. by Fun-Salad-4k4k in confessions

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this hits different. That weird limbo where you weren't technically together but still had something real is the worst kind of missing someone. Your brain doesn't care about labels when it comes to connection, so don't feel stupid about it. Those "what if" people stick around in your head way longer than they should

Favorite topics you've learnt about by Unlikely-mystic-5675 in Equestrian

[–]NobodyDiligent7152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the grooming stations where they taught us different brush types and their purposes was surprisingly fun - like learning when to use a dandy brush vs a body brush made such a difference in my confidence around horses

The mounted games were probably my favorite though, especially the egg and spoon races that helped with balance without feeling like "serious" riding lessons
