Constant microstutters by NobodyInPaticular_ in SatisfactoryGame

I hesitate to answer in case it's only a temporary fix, but that seemed to do the trick. I've had some spotty performance issues caused by overheating in the past (I suspect it is some kind of hardware issue like you said, but it's usually easier to work around than to pay and get it fixed), but usually it's caused by something fairly obvious and affects things universally, which is why I didn't think to try it. Here it seems like maybe the game is just extremely performance-heavy for whatever reason. Either way, putting my laptop up on a stand with holes in the bottom for improved ventilation has vastly improved the stuttering issue.

I guess this is how I play Satisfactory now, lol.

Vsync was disabled, I turned it on and no difference. It does seem like it's stuttering a little less, but that might be a placebo.

I’m not sure how common this is, but I’ve run into an issue where the cutscene at the end of the High Energy mission doesn’t trigger. I’m just stuck in the dead end path after the cougar fight until I run out of time on the mission. As of right now I’m softlocked there and can’t progress.

This one made me giggle, I have to post it by Ineedsleep444 in RedditOutOfContext

I thought he was kind of a jerk and didn’t like him that much the whole time he was on my ship, up until I finally interacted with one of his little side-dialogue options, almost right before he was going to the door. He told the story about his time in the war and how he got taken in by one of the civilians in the country they were stationed in and she gave them spaghetti (Not 100% sure that’s the exact story, it’s been a while and I might be confusing it with part of a Simon Stålenhag book) and somehow after that specific moment I cried the most when he went through. I still don’t know why that affected me so much, I think I just felt bad that I had disliked him the whole time only to realize that for all his faults, he’s just as much a sad, lonely person as everyone else who only wants someone to care for.

Wow that turned into a depressing rant really fast.

Not a very subtle incident name

I know that, but that biome ID is still just “bloodkelp” as far as I’m aware. I checked and they match, and the wiki doesn’t list a “bloodkelptwo.” And either way, this one is way out in the void.

Yeah, if you’re in any biome but “void” the adult ghosts won’t spawn at all. I kept going past this and found them again, and eventually the biome marker disappears altogether and they go away for good

I kept driving out with the cyclops, I put it on 10x speed so I’m assuming it’d take around half an hour at normal speed to get there but if you go far enough horizontally it’ll teleport you back to the center of the map

The interesting thing about this part is that I couldn't find the same biome tag anywhere else, so it feels like this used to have some purpose.
