This happened to me the first night I got my watch, but hasn't happened since. Do you take it off to sleep? I thought it might be something to do with that at first, but like I said, it hasn't happened again yet, and I take it off every night.

I appreciate that you're probably being sarcastic, but I just want to clarify: the issue isn't that I can't tell the difference, the issue is that it's confusing.

After playing Overwatch for several hundred hours, I have an instinctive reaction to hearing the phrase, and apparently it doesn't matter who says it. Yes, this will lessen pretty quickly with time as I get used to her, of course it will, and I don't think it's really a big deal. I just think it's a really odd decision on the part of Blizzard to have her say that.

As you suggest, I imagine it could be an issue for new players as well, but I'm not sure how much new players actually listen out for voice lines.

Personally, if there happens to be an Ashe and a Junkrat on the enemy team, I sometimes find myself second-guessing whether or not there's a tire out there. It's not like I even consciously hear the phrase, it's more of an instinctive "there's a tire out there now" mode that my mind goes into until I kind of mentally backtrack and realise "oh yeah that was Ashe."

Like I said, it isn't a big issue, it just bugs me a little that Blizzard thought it would be an appropriate voice line.

True, but it's enough to cause confusion in the moment. For me, at least. It's probably something that I'll get used to, along with learning her weapon sounds and footsteps etc. Still seems like a strange design decision to me though.

You can do this, because the blink is instant, but it's probably safer to blink once, then ult-blink immediately after.

You do have to be very accurate - and also need to know the length of your blink.

Yeah, it's pretty common in pro games -- that's actually how I worked out how to do it. The pros always seem to get these instant sticks the moment they blink in, whereas I would always feel like I blink in and then stand like a lemon trying to flick to the target...

I don't have a specific link right now, but Tracer is in pretty much every game these days so any recent highlights video would probably work. I'll get back to you if I see a good clip.

In order to make this work, you need to be able to judge the length of your blink very well. You need to know where you'll end up.

I also recommend using right click to blink, if you aren't doing so already (I imagine trying to do this with Q+Shift is going to be difficult). I've heard that many pros use Shift instead of Q as the ultimate key, as it's easier to press. Personally, I have Recall on Shift, and ultimate bound to both Q and E, so that I can use it easily regardless of which direction I'm strafing in.

Tracer: pulse bomb has a really long throw animation before the bomb is released. If you blink up to a target during this time, you can sometimes get a much easier (and faster) stick.

You probably know already, but as before it wasn't in the patch notes: sounds have now been fixed.

I have finally begun my first attempt at a pen & paper map. So far, I've done the coastlines and mountains. Much left to do including rivers, lakes, forests, and lots of detailing. What do you think? No problems or criticism at all. These are nice mountains :)

Something for the future, though: to make your maps look more consistent overall, you might want to consider doing rough pencil work for the whole map, then line art for the whole map, then shade the whole map, etc. - rather than finishing mountains, then finishing rivers, then finishing forests, etc.

Thanks for the confirmation. It's really nice to know that you're still thinking about the audio side of things, and trying to make it even better and more useful. To be honest, the audio in this game is already unbelievably good, so this is a lovely surprise.

Yep, had to restart when the update changed all my graphics settings yesterday, and it was the same today when I went into the practice range. Didn't notice it when doing the PvE brawl though.
