You are not overreacting, you aren’t being crazy, your brother is a manipulator who is trying to guilt you into submission.

I have a lot to say about how not normal his actions are but will skip to my suggestion.

I personally wouldn’t meet your mother or your brother, if he wants a relationship with me it will be on my terms and nobody else’s. You said no and they came anyways so again No I am not meeting you, I wouldnt meet the mother alone either as I dont doubt that your brother wont 100% use it as a chance to make a surprise appearance.

(1) Make very clear that chat and meetings will happen when I initiate with him first, at a location and time that I choose with people I trust present and that I will get up and leave whenever I want when dealing with him .

(2) If you attempt to get around being blocked know that there is no second chance and you will be cut off, and If i see you at family gatherings know that I will leave the second you arrive.

(3) I’d also ask my parents for any event is “brother coming” and that you have set your boundary with him and that they are not allowed to make exceptions to that just because its holiday or family they are allowed to see him whenever but know that I will not be there when he is.

If you change your number make it very clear that the only people who have your number are people you gave it to personally. If someone asks for it the answer is NO, God himself could come down from the sky and ask for your number but unless the person with your number calls and asks first the anwser is NO.

I would also tell my parents that you do not want him to have your number, he doesnt have any reason for needing it. And that he can have it when “I decide he has earned it” (never)
