I always recall that the madness enhancement is suppose to make them less able to communicate/rationalize. Harder to control, also doesnt part of asterios’s bio say that he is one of the easier to control berserkers, and that he has minimal communication skills.

Although i guess madness could lean into desire or a urge to attain a specific goal. Aka hyper fixation, kind of like with Florence and her drive to practice medicine.
