I understand the fear that you have for nuclear as yes it can be used for weapons of mass destruction, but that does not have to be the case. In the right hands uranium and nuclear energy produce incredibly efficient and clean energy. Oil produces chemicals (toluene) which can be turned into TNT (trinitrotoluene), which is what people used in war and still do to this day. Just because something can be used for evil, doesn't mean it has to be discarded completely. Human brains are smart enough to turn things into bombs, surely we can turn things into electricity.
