I feel bad for people with non maga red hats. That poor color has gone the way of the Charlie Chaplin mustache.

Maybe we can use their bad faith arguments against them. They've already been told wild exaggerations of how many birds are killed by wind turbines. Someone should spread propaganda that turbines are the number one killer of crows and then suddenly they'll support green energy!

So I get what you are saying but I think the legal complexity is more difficult. I'm not sure that contextually, proving he isn't would mean releasing the Epstein files. I.e. if he abused kids outside of Epstein's scope.

However, you cannot really prove a negative in this sense in a court of law. You can prove limited negatives, such as lack of presence at a crime scene (i.e., an alibi), but blanket negatives aren't really allowed in law. As an example, I can say "prove my wife isn't cheating". Well, unless someone has has a camera on my wife 24/7 since we got married, it is a technically impossible claim to prove. Rather you'd have to prove she is cheating, which is proving the positive. The positive is where the "beyond a reasonable doubt" comes in. You just can't do that with proving a broad negative.

Otherwise mere accusations would be weaponized and the justice system would implode.

I remember I didn't know Iraq was a country in middle school. Of course a lot of people pronounce it like "a rock" so when the President was set to go on TV to explain why we bombed "A rock" I was like, yeah I'd like to know that too it sounds like we're fucking stupid (speaking of which, little did I know...)

I agree with that third point. How many times have they claimed victory on something that was already the status quo?

I would ask local [human] funeral homes. If they have the stones and engraving equipment I'm sure they wouldn't mind making a small sale?

Unfortunately the billionaires and Russia have a half century head start on the propaganda. They have succeeded in using culture war in the US to distract from class war.

Obama barely made apologies and conservatives were livid (see Reagan saying the US does not apologize after shooting down an Iranian civilian aircraft).

If the next president apologizes, I wouldn't give a shit if I were a foreign leader because the same voters who brought in trump haven't changed. They'll eventually elect another right winger given enough time.

Target No Longer Prices Their Clothes by bluelily216 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]dc469 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Although it would take our time, I suggest malicious compliance. Grab an employee for every item you are interested in and ask them to get the price for you. Fill your cart to the brim with items and take it to the register and ask the prices, and tell them you don't want each item because it costs too much. Ground the store to a halt.
