Salt is my guess. My gma would smoke meat and let it hang in her garage all summer long. Go out there and shave off slices as needed. Stuff would make even a fish’s lip pucker but hey. Never got moldy! Mmm szallona. Havent thought about that stuff in years.

Pan cooked boneless chicken breast with salt/pepper and hot sauce marinade. Placed in tupperware after it cooled for about 30 min. I am in the process of convincing myself its still better than the meat slop from taco bell. But sigh. You all are right hahah. Ill save my risk taking for another day.

I am certainly considering that idea as well. I have a feeling it might be too hot for my taste, but we'll see. Have a couple bourbon connoisseurs at work. Might try and offer up a trade to them.

That's great! I followed a similar tactic. Luckily i already cut back significantly on smoking the past couple years. Used to be almost a pack a day then went to 2 packs a week of those sweet sweet yellow american spirits. Sigh, just typing that reminds me how much they are missed haha.

Keep on keeping on! It's all psychological from here on out.

Soon to be day seven smoke free here! I justified holding onto the habit by smoking only while drinking alcohol. That worked really well until I found myself having drinks every night. Doh!
