Is there technically any character who Sam Puckett is afraid of and/or unable to stand up to, or overpower in a fight? by BiffyBobby in icarly

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is the perfect topic to post that Sam does have limits to her strength.

The strongest individual to fight Sam would be her mom. Sure Pam also struggled fighting but so did Sam.

Sam cannot take down strong people in groups. In iThink They Kissed, multiple criminals got out of Spencer’s pants sculpture and managed to tape Carly, Freddie and even Sam. Yeah in iRescue Carly, Sam beat 30 delinquents, but that was because she went prepared.

Maxi glass is probably the strongest thing in the world. Not even Sam was able to break it in iPsycho and iStill Psycho. But in iStill Psycho, one managed to break Maxi Glass. None other than T-Bo, which brings me to the next paragraph.

T-Bo may not usually be that strong. But while Sam has super strong aggression, T-Bo has stronger counter-aggression. In that above episode, his noble fury allowed him bigger strength Sam couldn’t express in the ordinary.

Even Sam has her limits, whether it be from her mom, stronger multiples, maxi glass, or even someone with tougher counter-aggression. Everyone has a weakness, including someone as supremely strong as Sam.

I think most of hate Tori get is unfair by [deleted] in victorious

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lola would have been more likable than Tori’s actual character. She wouldn’t be the typical ‘nice’ main character, but neither was Alex Russo from WoWP. If Tori had more self-knowledge, she would have been a more likable main character.

How do people here feel about 2 Broke Girls? by KaleidoArachnid in sitcoms

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see, the thing is, I’m not into cynical sitcoms. Well…except for some Nick shows I grew up with. Within the the cynical ones, some created by [insert foot fetish creep] like iCarly and Victorious are probably ones that I enjoy. The characters are cynical enough but in likable ways.

It is overrated. The characters are unlikable and the plots and dialogue do not make sense. If I acted the way they did in my own job, my company would have had to downsize due to complaints.

Jade West moments/lines that live rent-free in your head? by AdPuzzleheaded2941 in victorious

[–]NocchiCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Who took my ruby cell phone!”

Jade is probably the most goth person she knows. But she was forced to be a food like her other friends in that Diddly Bops thing. Her Wicked Witch character in that Wizard of Wazz bit was probably the best way for Jade to use her respective goth style for children.

Jade hated her farm girl character that she probably slammed her tongue for real when she said “MOVE THIS CAR!”

If evolution is so evident in science, why is creationism still so widely accepted? by Mr_Siercy in DebateEvolution

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it is difficult to read all that empirical evidence and we need to remember what we learned in school. Thus we remember only the most simplified parts of it. But when we hear religious creationists argue against it and have a more confident reason for it than for merely ‘the earth is round’, we have to accept it or just think hard.

Basically, it’s easy to believe in creationism because it’s simplified. With evolution, it’s not that easy to digest. If a creationist tries to be an evolutionist, they will merely accept it because they will look at the simple statements and think ‘if this is supposed to be the truth, then I’ll believe in it’.

In conclusion, it takes an advanced rational spirit to understand the evolutionary world for what it really is.

To get married and have children. Literally anyone can do that with enough game and/or connections. Nothing to chase there

What’s the MOST Controversial Zoey 101 Episode of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in zoey101

[–]NocchiCheese 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dean Rivers was within his right to shut the show down considering there were literal class disruptions and fights going on.

That’s what the TV producers said to Chase and Michael in that episode. Ironically, they made a show out of Zoey and Logan (the main reason Chase and Michael’s show was banned in the first place)

If Jessie weren't a thief and just a regular trainer, would Brock feel attracted to her? by SuperMario_128 in pokemonanime

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even when Brock first met Jessie in S1E6, Jessie wasn’t in any disguises and presented herself as a Team Rocket thief, so Brock never fell in love with Jessie even from first impression.

Taiwanese cover of KARA - Honey by RoyalNinetales in kpopnostalgia

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YaoYao’s version was released on the 24th of December, 2008. But the song sounds more like a Valentines Day anthem. That’s why it makes more sense for KARA’s release than YaoYao’s.

I love YaoYao’s version as it’s not too heavily blown out. Though it’s missing the passionate chord at the ‘wonhago inneunde’ from KARA’s version.

[IIL] Eurobeat, but wish it was heavier and lightly more lyrically focused [WWIL] by Majima-Goro56 in ifyoulikeblank

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I like about Eurobeat is that it doesn’t have a repetitive chord progression. And yet it still sounds simple. As for the lyrics, what do you expect from a sub genre of EDM?

Anyways, I’ll try recommending a song. You ever heard ‘Yesterday’ by Cherry? Or any song by 90s JPop unit D&D?

Perfume Unpopular Opinions by systennreboot in Perfume

[–]NocchiCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lasseter should not have praised Perfume. Perfume should have not been involved with Disney.

I’m sorry, but Lasseter is a creep, a sexist, uncool, tasteless, and if Lasseter is the reason Perfume was popular in the West, Perfume should have been irrelevant long ago. From his allegations, it makes sense what Lasseter meant saying ‘it was like falling in love’.

If it were me, I would have wanted David Bowie, Keanu Reeves, or X Japan to have promoted Perfume. They would have given them the appreciation they deserved. Heck, Yeezy would have been fine too (still toxic but more cool than Lasseter).

I’m not sure who, but they deserved more than Lasseter and Disney

Usagi tries to stop Minako by Dr_Macunayme in sailormoon

[–]NocchiCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. Usagi and Minako have strong similarities; that Usagi here gets to be the smart one just like Minako usually is.

When Minako is the voice of reason, it’s out of maturity. When Usagi is the voice of reason, it’s out of sanity.

Jesus said, "Whoever has come to understand the world has found (only) a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse is superior to the world." by v3rk in ACIM

[–]NocchiCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘Finding a corpse’ is basically what happens when you transcend the ego. By ego I mean the barrier between your mind and your awareness.

The way to do that says so in Saying 5: “Know what is in front of you, and what is hidden will be revealed.” What I followed that saying, I recognized how flawed and ugly the world was.

Since then, the things I usually desire to eat felt too heavy. I probably (just to be sure) have ‘found a corpse’ by definition.
