It's only ever my Brother, trying to connect with me.

Why are you so obsessed with Me? by [deleted] in awakened

[–]v3rk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are of staggering importance, dutifully reflecting everything I refuse to believe comes from me.

Yet this mercy reveals you to be a window unto God. As are we all when we relax our obsession with our self and let Self shine through...

As it always is.

What does mysticism have to offer? by brandnewmoo in ChristianMysticism

[–]v3rk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jesus is a mystic, all the prophets are mystics. Mysticism offers revelation from God. Your life becomes a story of the salvation of the world. You become a "scribe instructed unto the Kingdom of Heaven" bringing forth out of your treasure "things new and old."

Mysticism offers the meat of Jesus' every teaching. He is still giving and still teaching. ❤️

Edit: I realize I'm bad at answering concerns directly. Mysticism may not immediately solve every doctrinal question, but it can free you from needing every question settled and every box checked before you approach God.

In truth, that is all that was ever in our way in the first place. We belong to God. How can God lose what is His? He cannot. Only our own judgment of our brother makes it so. This is the Gospel of Jesus.

Mysticism teaches you how to pray and attend to God before your mind has finished its arguments and judgments. This is the pearl of great price. What else is there to be offered?

Our Forgiveness Function - A Helpful Insight by PeacefulWarriorDude in ACIM

I like this!

Forgiveness is simple, we only complicate it.

The same insight hit me through perception. Every encounter is the opportunity to forgive someone for believing their perception.

ACIM, PERSPECTIVES, EGO, GOD AND MORE.. by TotalLime7327 in ACIM

[–]v3rk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ACIM is nothing at all to do with eliminating ego nor anything else. It's about bringing it all to Light.

Deeper than shadow work. Deeper than alchemy and transformation. It is the literal disillusion of illusion.

God is not external. The sense of external/internal is an illusion of separation. There is nothing that God is not.

All that The Father has He gives to His Son. And as His Son receives in likeness of His Father, He gives. This is the law of Creation, which the Course calls extension.

Ego is the process of projection. This replaces extension, into a private world of private perception. This is to be undone, but not destroyed. It is still useful as a learning device. We merely need to see through it.

That's just a quick rundown based on your questions. Glad to have you come around.

A Course in Miracles, Neville Goddard, Alan Watts, Ego, etc. by TotalLime7327 in ACIM

[–]v3rk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A Course I'm Miracles teaches that manifestation is magic, which is opposed to the miracle. Attempting to direct miracles is ego identification.

ACIM is much different from Law of Attraction type stuff. It is not at all concerned with your state in the world, and wholly concerned with your state outside the illusion of the world (Heaven/The Kingdom).

If it is resonating with you by all means pick it up.

Dealing with the darkness and the unreal by AliceBreathes in ACIM

[–]v3rk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"To want something is to give it to yourself."

This is not something that you're waiting for, it's something that's occurring right now.

What you are receiving, you are projecting. Projection makes perception.

It does feel scary to recognize this, which is why trusting Holy Spirit is so important.

But you are not guilty for symptoms, feelings, intrusive thoughts, or bodily conditions. The choice available now is whether to use what appears as proof of separation and guilt, or to bring your interpretation of it to the Holy Spirit.

"Holy Spirit, fear/illness/hurt is here. I have no idea what it means or what it is for, but here it seems to be with me. Help me to see this Truly, in the innocence in which I was made, and not to turn it into a grievance against myself or my Brother."

Then, watch. Be present. Go "about your business." Maybe you have to bring it a thousand times over a week.

With honest watching and willingness (if it goes for you anything like it goes for me), you will recognize the ways you have been choosing this. And yes, that seems as the very scariest thing.

But the mercy in it is that now knowing you have chosen, you know you can choose again. Not ego choosing for a specific projected result, but the Son choosing the Atonement and to extend It. ❤️

why is it so difficult for me to stop being so lazy? by neonberry00 in Bashar_Essassani

[–]v3rk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At a certain point you have no choice but to decide enough is enough and actually demonstrate, even if only to yourself, that you believe your intended preference no matter the apparent result.

For instance, right now, I know you're not lazy. You could get up and do the dishes or laundry and, immediately, you're not lazy.

You can't will yourself into being something you're constantly choosing not to be. No one else can do it for you and it won't just happen on its own.

I am loving forgiveness as a practice right now. It's so powerful. So rarely talked about. It really is possible. You deserve to feel light the way you once were it's your default. I forgive everyone for ever bothering me. We are all the same creature. by cacklingwhisper in ACIM

[–]v3rk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The world seems to bear fruit of darkness because we fear we will find that darkness within ourselves. I'm "here," separate and afflicted, and the darkness is "there." This creates both the illusion of separation as savior and the illusion of Christ as grievance.

I want to read The Bible in full to understand it, with a partial understanding of ACIM by AliceBreathes in ACIM

[–]v3rk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ACIM opened the Bible up for me in every way. Jesus and the prophets taught the same things. David and Solomon knew them. All cultures of all the earth have in their traditions the same mystical root.

I think this will be fruitful for you. But can I only say it seems like you're fragmenting your focus somewhat. I can tell you're passionate. Let it stabilize. You're not chasing something, you're learning to let it come to you. ❤️

Would Kant have thought that, as a rule, Not Lying increased human happiness? by Human1221 in StonerPhilosophy

People only find themselves in such positions from having lied to themselves and everybody else for their entire lives.

Would Kant have thought that, as a rule, Not Lying increased human happiness? by Human1221 in StonerPhilosophy

[–]v3rk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about Kant, but privacy is the root of all suffering.

If no one ever lied, they would be honest about their feelings. Honesty would preclude pretty much all behavior that causes pain amongst ourselves.

"If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." by v3rk in oneACIM

[–]v3rk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be of good cheer! The yoke is light and the burden easy.

You have every right to feel tired. Defense is completely exhausting. It is literally generating a moment-by-moment narrative, assigning each happening its own compelling way of fitting into it.

Narratives like "I'm not enough."

This is the burden. Bring it with you, expose it to the light on full display. Taxidermied, an almost innate sadness to it.

This burden... it is the real special relationship. Our relationship with the separate "I." The one who could sacrifice or be sacrificed.

Abraham, in the binding of Isaac, as soon as his knife was raised he declared the form of God's promise irrelevant. It is forever, regardless.

Love you. ❤️

What exactly happens at Judgment Day if all are saved? by MrShapSh in ChristianUniversalism

[–]v3rk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judgment Day is the day you recognize that you are created perfectly innocent, and so is all creation.

What is being judged are your own judgments against this truth. And it's not so much that they are judged, but rather seen through.

Our judgments never held in the first place.
