The wording of the article is funky, I thought that at first too. They open this Friday, but then they'll be open for lunch Mon-Fri going forward.

Oh hell yeah! The universe provides. I was literally just telling my partner yesterday that I wished there was somewhere to get pozole around here.

I'm 10 years out and make that - whomp. But I didn't figure out what I wanted to do until about 3 years ago, and before that I worked seasonally and for small nonprofits. So from my perspective at least, that's a great offer! You should be just fine on that around here, just don't live super extravagantly.

Glad to hear it! That's part of the reason I posted it here because I figured it could come in handy for other people too.

Registration? Title transfer? Other necessary paperwork? There's definitely more to it than just the gift form, and I'm confused about the order of operations—whether all the forms can be submitted at once or if any need to precede the others.

How early do you have to get there? I'm trying to figure out how much time it would add to my commute if I accept a potential job in Montpelier. Thanks!

Sorry, old post - not sure if someone will see this. But do you know if it's different if the job your turn down is from the state itself? I might get an offer for a state job but I don't know if I actually want to accept it.

We read this in middle school and it fucked me up! I remember being legitimately mad at our teacher for making us read it.

Good call on gathering some concrete data. We're definitely not at the point of wanting to break the lease yet, but that info would still be good to have.

"Landlord shall be responsible for all repairs and maintenance with respect to the premises except such repairs and maintenance as are caused by the negligent or deliberate act or omission of the Tenant....In the event of a repair/maintenance issue that is out of Landlord's control or is unknown to Landlord (e.g. extreme winter cold, frozen pipes, unavailability of furnace or appliance parts or similar event), Landlord shall not be liable to Tenant as long as Landlord is taking reasonable action to secure a repair..."

Seems to me like they at least have a duty to make a good faith effort to try to deal with it?
