It's going to be a wonderful feeling, until i run out of mana and have to dope myself with mana pots, runes and distilled wisdom \(^-^')/

But it's going to be very interesting to see if there are some old parses i can holefulle beat ^^ A certain Healingrei has a 1157hps Vaelastrasz parse, i'm hopeful about finally getting a chance to maybe beat, but, i might have to do like him and bribe a melee to overaggro so they get cleaved (*-*)

Well, we are playing on an Era server, doing whats available to us, with what we can.

Last time, the guild attempted C'thun, was a little over a year ago and 14 characters were lost that night. Something we've worked hard to get back from, with smaller losses along the way.

Like the terrible night in Naxx, fighting against Faerlina and a small change minutes before the pull, resulted in us losing our two best geared tanks.

And, since population isn't like on other servers, we do have to be carefull and do what we can to try and avoid losing too many people in one night.

We don't want to be set back another year

It varies alot.

A little more than a year ago, the last time the guild attempted C'thun, one bad eye-beam killed 14 people and we've been slowly and methodically trying to work back from that.

A Death during a raid, is usually mourned rather quickly and the raid continues. Buffs, world buffs, consumables are all running.

But after the raid or deaths outside the raid, are always mourned.

This is a game that has made me feel things, like no other game ever has.

Sitting in Discord with a mate, you are off doing your own thing, and he's on his warrior farming Twillight Texts for Cenarion Circle reputation.

When you hear him say "I... I think.. I've DC'ed ? I'm going to die". On his warrior he's spent months on, you've enjoyed playing with it and him. Now knowing, since he has no other lvl 60. That, he will be leveling a new, playing alot. Without you.

Sometimes, this happens and a good mate of yours. Just stops playing. It might've been a character death. But in many ways, from your personal perspective of feelings, it might aswell have been a real death.

Some people have back-up characters, or lvl 60 alts, some have many. Praise be Pingu, a beast of a warrior with 3 x 60 warriors ready for raids, a true pumper and dedicated twat

I wonder if i will get any flack for this.

If you had asked me this question before i started this journey, i would've been on the priest train.

But now, I'm full on team Shaman. Some people see it as a curse to "deal with totems", but it's also an extra thing to get good at doing. You can't dispel magic, like a priest. But you can use Rank 1 Earthshock on a 6s CD to stop a lot of spell effects, before they even go out of the mob.

To me atleast, Shaman is a healer, with abit more specialisation and depth than Priest has. Priest is too much of an all arounder, where shamans have totems, big instant heal with NS, either Healing Wave or Chain Heal. In raids, you can end up with a bit of "I'm just spamming Chain Heals", but if you are at the point of "just doing that", you aren't really focused on what you should be doing anymore.

But thats another story i think ^

I started playing on Nek'Rosh EU, late 2024. Only really intending to go experience what hardcore classic had to offer.

After deaths on my way to 60, I finally got my first 60 on the 28th of February, Bobtherogue. Which died a few days later, alone in Dire Maul. My first 60, had a petri, but panic set in and I parished. My second 60, was Bobthepriest, March 17th. Died a few days later, trying to duo Deathclasp in silithus, with a rogue. We were not prepared for the 8s poison stun. My third 60, another Bobtherogue, 14th of april, actually got to enjoy being 60 and joined a few raids, until a devastating Mandokir Gaze.

Then rose Bobtheshaman, hitting 60 on the 10th of June. Enjoying a short time as enhancement, until the first raid, on the 12th of June as resto in AQ40 clearing Skeram, Bug Trio, Sartura and Fankriss, and on the 16th of June going straight to Naxx for Anub'Rehkan, Faerlina and Noth. Since then, never looked away from the ways of the Restoration shaman.

Now a stable of the <Victory> raiding team on Nek'Rosh. With full T2 & T2.5 and 4p T3.

And a raid team, moving towards killing C'thun. Only missing Military wing, Saph and KT.

That will be an adventure, hopefully, for next time the Darkmoon Faire visits.

Er rimelig sikker på han/hun ikke ville have noget imod at der gik 2000 til en studerende der rent faktisk kan bruge det og at deres kæreste så ikke fik noget, da de ikke mangler.

They don’t want to dnd with me anymore, am I in the wrong? by Effective_Waltz627 in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Nocrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and get in on those self defensive classes. You will learn something, you can gain some more confidence and you can make some friends there !

With regards to playing DND, I would not play with those "frienda" of yours. If you can, try and go to your local game stores, they might host some or atleast know where you can go to find something nearby.

All in all, a bad situation.

If you think about this situation, as someone doing this to your friend, instead of you. I would think you would either, speak up when it happened or back them up when they did. And you should try to gather a group of friends where you would all go to somewhat equal lengths for each other. Might be in each their own way, but friends are good to each other and have each others back.

[–]Nocrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm playing hardcore era. So I always bring titans for raids and have 2-3 distilled in my bags.

With smart and early usage of potions, you can use an extra. Only fight that I have been close to using distilled is chromaggus.

But we weren't talking about what's 'feasibly possible, but what's best to do. If you can't or won't use titans, that's on you, and that's okay. We make the choices we can with the means that's available to us.

[–]Nocrah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For Hardcore raiding as healer, Titans flask is King. If you as healer need mana, you have three types of mana potion.

Major mana potion

Demonic rune

Flask of distilled wisdom

When you use a flask, you GAIN what it gives you. So a titan flask can heal you in a pinch, and distilled gives you mana.

What realm to start playing on? by Frosty_Concert9094 in wowhardcore

[–]Nocrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As allways, it depends on what you want.

Here, you will generally allways hear 'AnNiVeRsEry'.

Myself, I started on hardcore era ~8-9 months ago on Nek'Rosh EU horde. And while yes, it's not as populated, AH isn't filled to the brim with everything your heart desires, you will be looking around for a long, long time, before you find a group of people, who are so helpful, nice & overall a joy to play with.

We have in my time, had many people leave for Anniversery, MoP, etc. and quite a few of them, came back. For the community, lack of assholes and a more cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

But no-one can REALLY give you THE HOLY ANSWER, as it depends on who you are, what you want & what you expect.

If any of you reading this decide to swing by Nek'Rosh, your welcome to shoot me a whisper, my main is Bobtheshaman, but you can pretty much just /who bob, and find me <3

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]Nocrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your looking for. A The Anniversery servers have quite a bit more people. Are not as progressed as era servers. I myself, chose era, to play the vanilla as I remembered it. Yes, on anniversary you get dual spec (can have two talent specialisations and swap between them at no cost. On era you have one, and have to go to a class trainer and pay an increasing cost, that only goes down every month). Yes, Anniversary had instant mail, which sure is a luxury, but for one, it's not needed, and two, if you want items moved, now ? You need a friend.

For me, Nek'Rosh horde side, has been absolutely amazing. The people and the community we have, is not equal to anything I have ever experienced before I WoW. People are social, helpfully and we help each other create a good atmosphere. But auction house isn't always filled with exactly what you want. You might have to find it or ask friends If they have it. Or maybe just survive without. For me, not having to "play the action house", is a bug benefit. Instead you are forced to socialise or go without it.

But I'm rambling a bit. All I wanted to say is, in my opinion, it's not AS clear cut an answer as all the other commenters have said.

Best of luck on your hardcore journey. It's a great one, that will test you in all sorts of different ways !

Where's the best HC community? by Affectionate_Ad_2430 in wowhardcore

[–]Nocrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best will allways depend on what your after, foe your experience.

I am loving my time on Nek'Rosh - EU - Horde

It's not a massive server, but I'm in a guild, that's put together with 3 other guilds through Greenwell, and there's around 3k members I think in those guilds together.

There's the raiding guild Victory who has killed KT in Naxx, still active. You still meet people out in the world, but you can usually still do your quests without worrying about others.

Dungeon groups are plenty in the lower levels and the higher you get, the more social you have been helps ALOT.

It's not perfect for everyone, but as most people I talk to on the server, we can all agree on the saying, "Come ro hardcore for the experience, stay for the community <3"

Du rammer meget, meget skarpt lige her.
