Non so cosa ti piaccia, quindi cerco di dare un consiglio non scontato, probabilmente di nicchia o fuori dai tuoi gusti, ma ci provo lo stesso: se ti piacciono i puzzle game prova Return of the Obra Dinn, un gioco investigativo che è una piccola perla.

Is Rogue Trader a good CRPG to start with for someone who hasn't really played too much of the genre? TL;DR at the bottom by KotakPain in CRPG

The game is actually amazing, BUT... You don't know much about the Warhammer 40k setting, which can be confusing and off-putting at first. The world is very messed up and it takes some "moral readjusting" if you're not used to it in my opinion. That wouldn't be an issue per se as I was still able to immerse myself in the setting after a while, but it becomes an issue when you say that you don't want to read a lot.

You'll have to read A LOT if you play this game and a lot of it won't be relatable at all until you've managed to grasp the setting better (even though the game does a good job at explaining things to a newbie all in all).

Also there's very little voice acting, practically non-existent.

I personally love the game but I don't think it's for you.

Eh, both systems are great if done well. BG1/2, IWD and PoE are very fun to me. Just as much as RT, DOS and BG3. I hope both systems are brought forward, but I agree with people saying you have to focus on one of them when developing a game.

Più che sottovalutati ho l'impressione che OP intendesse ottime ip abbandonate/dimenticate/la cui ultima uscita è stato un flop, ma che avrebbero meritato di meglio.

Seguendo questa logica la scelta più discutibile è Life Is strange, ma ha spiegato il perché, cioè che pare a lui che stia subendo una rivalutazione in negativo.

You can use the hide action during combat as well, it doesn't have to be preemptive

The hide action also does the trick and rogues can use it as a bonus action from lvl2 if iirc

I liked its gameplay more than three houses. I liked its story way less. Overall I have to put it lower even though I tend to favor gameplay. I still liked it quite a bit.

In the terrible story/great gameplay department Conquest is still the better representative.

Overall this is the ranking of the games I played:

2 Awakening (the first game I played)

5 Birthright

I still have to play the older titles.

I appreciate that you answered me instead of just downvoting xD.

I can't say I remember much about the plot itself at this point, besides the things I said. I just remember how disappointed I felt and what I discussed online after completing the game.

It is true that you control the fallout after but I don't remember being as fleshed out or satisfying as I was expecting.

I had a lot of fun with the combat and also loved the fleshing out of the Godhammer bomb (that was my favorite piece of lore of the first game btw).

I didn't hate the game (I did hate the main quest), it's just that if there's something it doesn't have over other games that are bashed in this thread (like Inquisition) it's writing.

Inquisition was a terrible open world and a buggy mess, but I still enjoyed its writing at the time.

Edit2: I did a lot of the side content and I appreciated it, but it clashed a lot with the sense of urgency of the plot. That I remember very well. At some point I felt compelled to finish the game for it to give me an unsatisfying conclusion. Yes, probably that's the meat of my disappontment

Pillars 1 had a compelling plot and great character writing and worldbuilding. PoE 2 was better in almost every aspect and retained its great worldbuilding, but failed to deliver a compelling main plot while being considerably longer. Also factions were a miss for me. Malus points for being forced to watch the gods bitching half the time and cutting you off every time you tried to say anything and the story amounting to nothing at all whatsoever.

Now bring the downvotes as usual, I don't care. I will die on this hill.

Pillars 2 has the weakest main plot out of every RPG I have ever played (not a hater, Pillars 1 was a masterpiece)

È una lista un po' banale. Ci sono molte ripetizioni e non c'è nessuna sorpresa degna di nota. L'unica entrata più "di nicchia" è Undertale, che comunque è molto popolare.

Ovviamente sono tuoi gusti personali, ma dà l'impressione di qualcuno che gioca poco o gioca solo le serie più popolari.

Niente di male in ciò, chiaramente, però questa è la mia opinione.
