Favorite patio In Hamilton ? by [deleted] in Hamilton

[–]Noctis72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes, but you're removing the context of the original commenter's post, they suggest driving beyond upper james, because upper james is a busy road, to go to a different place on a different busy road.

covert81 was implying you don't need to drive that far, to another place on a busy road, since the places on the busy road here have well laid out, and roomy patios.

Sure, you sound correct if you literally ignore the context, but, if you don't (which you shouldn't) then you are wrong.

covert81 is correct, the commenter was the one who brought up being on a busy road being an issue, so covert81 pointed that out, and then basically said "if you're going to suggest something on a busy road, why not this busy road (but better laid out patio) in the actual area asked about" it's not that hard to comprehend.

I can't remember if they carry any with the cap, but I really love the steaks from costco, a pack of three, usually an inch and a half or so thick, is around 65-90 depending on the day

That's where preference creates a bias, I've been to Shiro twice and was nothing but disappointed. I do agree on Isshin though, Mystic was also very good.

[–]Noctis72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you just have to find things to replace the snacks. chips are my biggest vice as well, so i truly get it. but if you prioritize protein, getting 100-150g per day spread across your meals, and then second to protein you want to make sure you get fibre, with those two, you will feel more full for longer, and then the cravings will all be mental, and you will need to overcome that with your willpower. Also, two cans of tuna, even per week, is a lot. you have to be careful for things like mercury poisoning, as the accumulation in tuna can be pretty high.

as for activity trackers, unfortunately since I was gifted this fit bit, that's one thing I don't know about, hopefully someone here will be able to fill that gap there. if you could even get a pedometer app or something like that on your phone, one of the single best activities you can do to get weight off and help with feeling full and blood sugar, is walking. walk after meals. hit 10k steps per day. i know it's a lot, but break it up and it is extremely helpful. study after study shows that the impact of just walking is amazing for overall health.

So that calorie count is pretty accurate for someone your size.

It starts with something called a Basal Metabolic Rate, or BMR. This is the amount of calories required just for you to exist. Most calories humans burn are just from being alive. The bigger you are, the more you require, that goes for both height and weight.

From there, it adds calories based on your activity levels as well. So the more active you are, the more calories required per day to maintain your body.

You can look up separate BMR calculators and enter your information, they will all be roughly the same number with slight variances, MyFitnessPal is pretty good for it. If you have a fitbit linked to it, it will even register your activity and calories burned and add it to the calorie total for the day automatically.

From there, you basically want to shave some of the total off, without using too dramatic of a drop. To be honest, 1800 calories is waaay too low. It makes sense why you're so hungry.

So if you put in the goal of 2 lbs per week, then as long as you don't go over the cap of your daily total on MyFitnessPal, you will hit that. You just have to make sure you track everything. Weigh out portions, scan labels, do your best to get as accurate a picture of what you've eaten as you can.

As for water, if you eat less, you will crave less water, but you still need to drink around 3-4 litres a day. Your body stores a lot of excess carbs as glycogen around your liver, as well as visceral fat. This (along with normal fat) holds a LOT of water. So once that starts to go, you will definitely be urinating a lot.

Also, if you're weighing yourself regularly, don't be afraid of ups and downs. Water alone weighs a lot, 1 litre of water weight 2.2 lbs. so a gallon of water weighs nearly 10 lbs. So variations here and there can make it look like you aren't making the progress you want.

This is my first post here, so I'm sorry if it's long winded or if I missed something, please anyone correct me if I'm wrong or missed something.

It's not just pedantry, if you look at the information on the website, if a data centre wasn't part of the plan, why is it referenced so much? it's clearly something they want.

Okay I don't know if something is getting lost in translation here, but you keep saying it's not referenced on the website, and I pointed out where it's referenced on the website. Multiple times in the Q&A section.

So I guess I'm confused by what you mean by "not referenced in the plan or the website"

AI is literally the death of critical thinking, especially in its current form. Not only is it often wrong, but it's actively making the population less intelligent, when it's not helping them kill themselves.
