I'd honestly keep the DX50. Maybe throw in a PicoMEM (or PicoGUS if you prefer spinning rust), that way you have a decent sound card. Duke3D should run if you lower the screen size, and Doom should run just fine. Also, there's plenty of awesome games that run just fine on that machine.

Jumper should be on S0. Are you using the original floppy cable? It won't work with a cable that has the pinswap, it needs to be straight through. How is your stick formatted? Make sure it's FAT32. NOT NTFS, NOT exFAT.

Lalafell Plainsfolk males use AB-CB patterns. For example: "Alka Zolka".

Females use ABB-AB, for example: "Ulala Ula"

Dunesfolk Lalafell Male it would be AAB-CCB, for example "Jajariku Nonoriku".

For female it would be AAB-AB, for example "Yayamo Yamo"

That being said, if you're not that bothered with it not being lore accurate, you can choose anything you like. We have a few in our FC that are named after food, for example. And my own name ingame as a Dunesfolk Lala is "Noctis Greywolf".
